Me as a dad, I wanna be able to practice what I preach, not only as a father, but as a
00:00:04
pharmacist too because, you know, there's a reason why health comes before care.
00:00:08
And if you look at the health care industry as a whole, I I would say it's kind of lacking in
00:00:12
the fitness aspect if if you know what I mean.

00:00:45
Welcome to the FullFuel podcast
00:00:48
with your host, Matt Teck.
00:00:50
And doctor Alfred Alessi.
00:00:53
What's going on, brother?
00:00:54
Back.
00:00:54
What's up, my guy?
00:00:55
We got a good one today.
00:00:57
We do.
00:00:58
We got a a really cool guest.
00:01:00
So I met this dude at Fitfast.
00:01:02
It was this CrossFit bodybuilding event, here in Tampa back in, like, August, I think.
00:01:10
And this dude's out there, buff dude, looking jacked, selling pre workouts, and promoting his
00:01:14
product.
00:01:14
And so we just start chatting and really cool guy, definitely aligned in a lot of ways.
00:01:18
So, doctor Taylor Martin, we brought him on the show here to kind of just talk about, you know,
00:01:23
the the brand you're building, man, the mission.
00:01:25
You're like us.
00:01:26
You're a dad.
00:01:27
So you got I know you got a couple kiddos and you're a hustler.
00:01:30
You're an entrepreneur, but you also work.
00:01:32
So you're doing a lot of stuff, man.
00:01:33
So my hat's off to you for that.
00:01:34
But thanks for coming on the show, bro.
00:01:37
Yeah, man.
00:01:37
Perfect.
00:01:37
I'm really excited to be here.
00:01:39
Heck, yeah.
00:01:40
So, man, give us a little give us a little background about yourself.
00:01:43
How'd you get into, you know, obviously, you're a pharmacist, but you're obviously into fitness
00:01:49
and exercise.
00:01:49
And so you want the, you know, the route of starting a supplement brand, which is not easy,
00:01:53
we know.
00:01:54
Give us a little background, man.
00:01:55
How what's the culmination?
00:01:56
Where'd your your story start?
00:01:58
Oh, man.
00:01:58
So it started all the way back in pharmacy school.
00:02:01
Basically, I'm gonna take it all the way back.
00:02:04
May of 2014, I met my now beautiful wife, my 1st year pharmacy school.
00:02:09
Fast forwarding, I graduated in 2017.
00:02:12
We then got married 2019, and her and I, of course, meeting at a gym, we've always been
00:02:16
about fitness.
00:02:17
You know what I'm saying?
00:02:18
So, basically, during the pandemic, my wife was sitting around on her computer thinking, gosh,
00:02:23
babe, I wish I'd create my own pre workout because she had taken all the pre workouts
00:02:26
before.
00:02:27
However, she wanted something without all the artificial sweeteners, colors, dyes, added
00:02:31
sugar that actually tasted good and worked.
00:02:35
So that was March of 2020.
00:02:36
And after she said that, I was like, well, gosh, babe, why don't we?
00:02:39
So it was that day, we gathered all of our favorite supplements, put them on the dining
00:02:43
room table.
00:02:44
As a personal trainer, they're pretty as, you know, up to date on what ingredients should be
00:02:48
on there.
00:02:49
Then as a pharmacist, when I was working during the pandemic, I had time to look up all the
00:02:53
randomized randomized control trials at those dosage forms.
00:02:56
And then from March of 2020 to November 20, 2020, we then launched.
00:03:02
So from idea on the dining room table to physical product in hand, that's kind of the
00:03:07
span.
00:03:08
And then from there, next next week on this Wednesday, it's 4 years.
00:03:13
So
00:03:13
Wow.
00:03:14
Here we are.
00:03:15
Man, were you always, like, into fitness growing up and stuff or athlete, or what was
00:03:19
kinda your your background there?
00:03:21
Had a little complex from middle school because this one girl used to call me skinny.
00:03:26
And, you know, I had this realization that, you know what?
00:03:28
She's right, and I need to take my fitness more seriously.
00:03:31
So since then, you know, I've always kinda been working out.
00:03:33
And being that my wife and I, you know, met at the gym, we just always, you know, promise each
00:03:37
other that we're gonna stay fit no matter what because, know, as you guys may have known or
00:03:41
seen that when people, you know, get married, they get comfortable, they have kids, and, they
00:03:46
let themselves go.
00:03:46
There there's just no way there's just no way around it, and that happens.
00:03:49
So with my wife and I, we always wanted to have fitness as, like, kind of, like, our core value
00:03:54
and making sure we're teaching that to our kids as well.
00:03:56
That's why we're starting this, bro.
00:03:58
I'm sending this to you, by the way.
00:04:00
Let's go.
00:04:01
Jack dad club.
00:04:02
That's why I asked for your address.
00:04:03
Because, man, that that's what that's what we're trying to do here with this whole, like,
00:04:07
thing.
00:04:07
This whole mission is, like, how do we get guys to take take back their health, take back
00:04:11
their, you know, their athlete, and and be kind of, you know, be alpha dads, man, not passive.
00:04:17
Yeah.
00:04:17
That we had to we had this guy on our podcast a couple weeks ago too, and he was just, he was a
00:04:22
military guy.
00:04:23
But, I mean, he's in his I think he said he was in his sixties now.
00:04:28
And he has, like that was that's been a nonnegotiable.
00:04:32
Like, it's core value within him that it's a nonnegotiable.
00:04:35
Right?
00:04:35
I get up, I perform, and I keep performing.
00:04:38
Yeah.
00:04:38
So he sets, like, different levels of competition, like, crazy levels of competition
00:04:44
on a on an annual basis.
00:04:46
I think he does multiple, again, the given year.
00:04:49
I mean, it's pretty freaking wild.
00:04:52
But what are what are some of the ways that you train with your wife?
00:04:55
I like that idea, that collaboration, if you do even train with her.
00:05:00
Sure.
00:05:00
But there's so many times where, like, so many people, you know, within a household,
00:05:04
especially if you're married, it's, like, completely different.
00:05:08
But, you know, how how do you make that work?
00:05:11
So I will say right now, like, pre kids, it was different.
00:05:14
We would go to the gym every now and then together.
00:05:17
But now with the kids, like, it is it is super tough, and I really have to give it to my wife.
00:05:22
She is literally the glue that holds the house together.
00:05:25
So for me, on any given day, I usually wake up 3, 4, 5 AM, go work out, go to work, and then
00:05:31
we'll do, like, a demo for our company afterwards.
00:05:34
And then, basically, as we speak right now, my wife is downstairs in our little workout room
00:05:38
with our baby girl, Nala, working out.
00:05:41
And so we are definitely on separate schedules, and that's just because kind of the way our
00:05:45
life is set up.
00:05:46
So every now and then, especially, like, on my birthday or anniversary, like, we make sure
00:05:51
that my dad watches our kids, and we get to work out in together because that kinda reminds
00:05:55
us of when, you know, we were at Oregon State working out together.
00:05:59
That's cool, man.
00:06:00
That's cool.
00:06:00
That's the season of life.
00:06:01
Right?
00:06:01
We both know that.
00:06:02
Right?
00:06:03
Like, you you gotta ebb and flow, and that's what kinda makes it have you always considered
00:06:07
yourself kinda like an entrepreneur, or is this out of your comfort zone?
00:06:12
So in all honesty, I got into pharmacy because I literally thought I could save the world
00:06:18
through medicines.
00:06:21
Now there's a time and a place for medication, but at the end of the day, it really does come
00:06:24
down to what you tell yourself, how often you exercise, and what you're eating.
00:06:29
Now being that we are in the supplement industry, I just want people to know that
00:06:32
authentic is not just about pushing pre workout.
00:06:35
Like, authentic.
00:06:37
Authenticity is thrown around way too much in the fitness industry.
00:06:41
For us, we want to be you know, for me as a dad, I wanna be able to practice what I preach
00:06:46
not only as a father but as a pharmacist too because, you know, there's a reason why health
00:06:52
comes before care.
00:06:53
And if you look at the health care industry as a whole, I I would say it's kind of lacking in
00:06:59
the fitness aspect if if you know what I mean.
00:07:02
Yeah.
00:07:03
Yeah.
00:07:04
I mean, that's a lot of what we talk about, man.
00:07:05
And, obviously, I'm kind of on the other side of medicine than you.
00:07:08
I'm a chiropractor.
00:07:09
I do natural medicine, functional medicine, that kind of stuff.
00:07:11
So, yeah, I I agree though.
00:07:13
I I see I think, you go to your your general your practitioner, your GP, or your your
00:07:19
primary care doc.
00:07:20
They ask they look at your levels and they they recommend medication, but when do they ask
00:07:24
like, oh, are you working out?
00:07:25
Or like, what's your diet like?
00:07:26
Right?
00:07:26
That's usually the thing that's not asked.
00:07:28
Like, are you moving your body?
00:07:29
Right?
00:07:30
There you go.
00:07:30
So, you know, what you are doing, what we're doing is we're trying to shake that up.
00:07:34
We're trying to get back to, like, what are the basics.
00:07:36
I just made a post on Instagram about this.
00:07:38
Like, before you even think about the cool stuff, even before you even think about the pre
00:07:42
workouts, it's like, are you even just moving?
00:07:44
Are you what are your, like, your baseline fundamentals?
00:07:46
Did you move your body today?
00:07:47
Did you eat whole foods?
00:07:47
Did you sleep 7 to 8 hours?
00:07:49
Right?
00:07:49
Before you even tap into the cool shit that we like to talk about, did you do the basics?
00:07:53
You know?
00:07:55
So how does how how is, being a pharmacist and then thinking that way, like, what do you
00:08:01
notice in the industry?
00:08:01
Is it kinda are you kind of an outlier?
00:08:05
So for me, when I do counseling on medications, I'm one of the only pharmacists that says, you
00:08:11
know, this is only gonna work in combination with a good diet.
00:08:14
Right?
00:08:15
Because too often, I see people coming in with their milkshakes, getting their blood pressure
00:08:20
meds and their diabetes meds, and I'm just like yeah.
00:08:27
It's different from, like, an aspect of education behind the counter, right, than if I
00:08:31
were to, like, see you at a gym at a demo.
00:08:33
Right?
00:08:33
Because some people, when they experience, you know, trying authentic supplements at a demo or
00:08:38
a gym, they're like, is this gonna help me lose weight?
00:08:40
And then I just, like, have this thing in my head.
00:08:42
I'm like, hey.
00:08:43
What actually am I gonna explain to them?
00:08:44
I'm like, well, are you eating your protein?
00:08:47
Are you drinking enough water?
00:08:48
Because if those basics aren't covered first, then you have to worry about something else
00:08:53
first.
00:08:54
Right.
00:08:55
Yeah.
00:08:56
That's so that's so true.
00:08:57
I was, going back a little bit too and then the combo that in.
00:09:01
You know, my thoughts on that are, like, everything is so systemic, in the entire
00:09:06
process, like, the way we believe.
00:09:07
And I was thinking even through the election period of, like, how about, like, we all come
00:09:12
together and see it as, like, how can we just be these freaking warriors?
00:09:16
Right?
00:09:17
Like, who who's the guy?
00:09:18
And it was kind of, like, issued a little bit by, JFK Junior, but, like, coming in there kind
00:09:25
of with that thesis, but, like, that element of how are you incorporating this on a daily
00:09:31
basis?
00:09:31
Like, it you know, you can you can break off from work and do that.
00:09:35
You can be intentional about your nutrition and and do that.
00:09:40
All these things, but, like, it just comes back down to play.
00:09:43
It's like, oh, I I want
00:09:44
the system to tell me what to do.
00:09:44
Like, I still want the
00:09:47
system and I just just prescribed me the pills.
00:09:50
Right?
00:09:51
And those things.
00:09:52
But systemically, if we came through, like, to the foundation of it all, it's like, no.
00:09:56
You need to do like, it's pretty easy to do those things, but I'll tell you this.
00:10:01
So in combination of me saying this was, I work out and I love I love your pre workout.
00:10:07
I love pre workouts because it gives it does help me lose fat because it gives me that extra
00:10:13
energy, to get through a day.
00:10:15
Right?
00:10:15
Because a lot of people, systemically, again, their biggest excuse is they're gonna be tired
00:10:21
at the end of the day, right, for a workout.
00:10:23
And so when you utilize something like that, it definitely helps you a little bit in, like, the
00:10:27
promotion of that.
00:10:29
So, actually, if I, like, had to encourage somebody to use one thing, it's like, yeah.
00:10:33
Take a little pre workout.
00:10:36
There we go.
00:10:38
I agree, man.
00:10:38
And to and it's like okay.
00:10:39
So let's get into it a little bit.
00:10:41
Alright?
00:10:41
So I got it right here.
00:10:42
I just took a little dry scoop on cam because that's how I roll.
00:10:46
Talk us through, man.
00:10:47
Like, what you know, you you wanted to keep the product natural.
00:10:50
I know you told me that.
00:10:51
Right.
00:10:51
There's no artificial anything in here.
00:10:54
I mean, it's beet root powder and then natural flavors, like, as far as, like, the extra
00:10:58
stuff.
00:10:59
You know?
00:10:59
But go through kind of, like, how you guys came up with the choice for for the, the supplement
00:11:04
facts.
00:11:04
Right?
00:11:04
Because it's it's pump based, but then it's also stim.
00:11:07
So Right.
00:11:07
It's just one of the products.
00:11:09
You have a non stim too?
00:11:10
Yes.
00:11:10
We have a nonstim too.
00:11:11
But, basically, kind of how, like, we got into all this is my wife, when she was, like, 18 or
00:11:16
19, she used to buy each one of these ingredients and then mix in her own concoction
00:11:21
and drink it that way.
00:11:22
That's kinda what fueled her to say, gosh.
00:11:24
I wish I'd create my own pre workout.
00:11:26
And, of course, she wanted citrulline for the good pump.
00:11:28
She wanted the beta alanine to help with the muscular endurance.
00:11:31
But the biggest thing that she wanted was none of the, like, red dye forties and all this
00:11:35
stuff because, you know, you can have everyone on the planet saying, no.
00:11:38
It really doesn't do this, but I I I don't think that red dye 40 or anything with a number
00:11:43
in it can be good for your health.
00:11:45
Right?
00:11:46
And then with all the sucralose, aspartame, acesulfame, now don't get me wrong.
00:11:51
I have my Snickers every now and then.
00:11:53
We have our Halloween candy, but something that you're taking on a daily basis, I truly believe
00:11:57
based on the studies that I've seen with continued use, it can disrupt the good bacteria
00:12:02
in your gut.
00:12:03
But when you're using Stevia or allulose natural sweeteners, right, it's not gonna have
00:12:08
that same effect.
00:12:09
However, if there is data that comes down the road 10 years from now saying that it does the
00:12:13
same thing, well, then we'll just pivot to something else.
00:12:16
So that's kinda like the whole aspect.
00:12:18
My wife was really self conscious about that, and that's why I wanted to incorporate the good
00:12:22
ingredients that you can take on a daily basis that actually work.
00:12:26
Now you were saying about the caffeine.
00:12:28
I know you guys have tried other preworkouts, but just bear with me here.
00:12:31
With our preworkout and the caffeine, because we paired it with L theanine, there's more of a
00:12:36
smooth taper up and smooth taper off.
00:12:39
And a lot of people have said the other preworkouts that I tried, you know, I crashed
00:12:42
halfway through my workout.
00:12:43
I wanted to punch a hole in the drywall, but I didn't really experience that with your guys.
00:12:47
And I was just like,
00:12:49
yes.
00:12:51
Yeah.
00:12:51
Let's let's double down on that because that's something I talk to patients about.
00:12:54
Right?
00:12:54
Like, people come in here and we're just educating.
00:12:56
Right?
00:12:57
It's always education education.
00:12:58
And, like, man, like, I I just can't quit coffee.
00:13:01
And I'm like, well, you know, you're getting the the reason you you drink 5 cups a day is
00:13:05
because you drink 1, then you crash it.
00:13:07
Drink 1, then you crash it.
00:13:07
Drink 1, then you crash it.
00:13:07
Drink 1, then you crash it.
00:13:08
Drink 1, then you crash it.
00:13:08
Drink 1, then you crash it.
00:13:09
So the like you just said, that plus if you put a little, like, salt, like some sodium in there
00:13:14
too, that is like, you talked about, like, more of a gradual rise and then a slow taper off
00:13:19
versus that spike.
00:13:21
So
00:13:22
Yeah.
00:13:22
So with that, I cannot quote the exact study, but they were basically saying that when you
00:13:28
have L theanine at the 300 or 350 milligram mark, it just it just basically levels off the
00:13:35
caffeine so you don't get that huge spike.
00:13:37
Now like you were saying, people that wanna get away from caffeine or drink 5 bangs, their
00:13:42
Starbucks fufu drink in the morning, and they want something in the evening, that's why we
00:13:46
have the nonstick, so without caffeine.
00:13:49
But we always get the question, well, how does it work if it doesn't have caffeine?
00:13:52
You're in for a treat.
00:13:53
So instead of the caffeine, we put teacrine.
00:13:56
Teacrine is basically gonna utilize the same pathways in your brain as caffeine, but it's
00:14:01
not gonna keep you up all night.
00:14:02
So it's still gonna hit the serotonin, dopamine, but it just won't keep you up all
00:14:07
night.
00:14:07
That's why a lot of my dad friends like to use that in the evening because they have their
00:14:11
coffee or caffeine in the morning, and they work out in the evening, and it works just fine
00:14:16
for them.
00:14:16
Tea cream is from green tea, or where does it come from?
00:14:19
Yep.
00:14:20
Yep.
00:14:20
It's, extracted from the green tea, please.
00:14:22
Got it.
00:14:23
So they they extracted minus the caffeine because green tea can have some caffeine in
00:14:26
too.
00:14:27
Got
00:14:27
it.
00:14:27
Is the non stem the same product just minus the caffeine?
00:14:30
So a little bit yes and no.
00:14:33
So in the non stem, we also have the lion's mane in there, and it's a little bit smaller
00:14:37
container.
00:14:38
The reason being is that in order to make up for that caffeine effect, it's a little bit
00:14:42
more to manufacturers.
00:14:43
Therefore, we had to decrease the serving size a little bit.
00:14:46
So it has 20 servings versus 25 in the stem.
00:14:50
Got it.
00:14:52
It's good stuff.
00:14:53
And then what other products are you guys working?
00:14:55
Because I know you have a protein too.
00:14:57
Yes.
00:14:57
So we had a okay.
00:14:59
Well,
00:14:59
let me just start before.
00:15:00
We have a plant based protein.
00:15:02
Don't get me wrong.
00:15:03
I love my meats and cheeses.
00:15:04
I am a red meat eater.
00:15:06
But based on our geographic location and the increased rise of everyone bloating and getting
00:15:11
gas from whey, we wanted to go with plant based.
00:15:15
So we do pea protein isolate.
00:15:16
We also have 24 grams in there as well as digestive enzymes, organic superfood blend.
00:15:22
And what we have noticed is in regards to plant protein, people really love our plant protein,
00:15:27
especially because of the taste.
00:15:28
And then, of course, they don't get that upset stomach, what have you.
00:15:32
So one thing that we've, really enjoyed, in our protein something I'm interested to hear your
00:15:39
opinion about, is we use a hydrolyzed.
00:15:41
And it's I've seen it have a really, really low impact on my gut.
00:15:45
And that's why, like, I just continually use it.
00:15:48
Have you ever heard of it?
00:15:49
What are your thoughts on it?
00:15:51
So we haven't I haven't done my too much research on the wayside or the hydrolyzed.
00:15:56
However, when we do come out with a way, I'm gonna look into the best one that we can find
00:16:01
so it doesn't cause that upset stomach.
00:16:03
So you were saying that other ways you've tried, it upsets your stomach, but this one
00:16:07
does not?
00:16:08
Yeah.
00:16:08
For sure.
00:16:09
There's, like, 0 bloating, the the breakdown of it.
00:16:12
And, honestly, I would say, in terms of, like, the overall chemistry of the protein and the
00:16:19
bioavailability of it, I've been using it for coming up on a full year now.
00:16:24
And, I have honestly seen pretty rapid gains, from it.
00:16:28
I was actually pretty thin earlier this year.
00:16:31
So, you know, some of those, whey proteins, it seems like the bioavailability of them, they
00:16:38
actually don't stick.
00:16:40
But with this, I don't I'm I'm catering it towards a little bit more that it is, like,
00:16:46
less impact on the gut, and I may be able to utilize that, you know, that protein synthesis
00:16:51
a lot faster, post workout.
00:16:53
So that's just something that I've seen as just, like, made rapid you know, taken rapid
00:16:58
effects this year from the hydrolyzed side.
00:17:01
Okay.
00:17:01
Yeah.
00:17:01
I think it's gonna be time for me to try one of those because people have been asking, like,
00:17:04
hey.
00:17:05
When are you coming out with a whey?
00:17:06
So good luck on that.
00:17:07
Thank you.
00:17:08
Yeah.
00:17:09
Yeah.
00:17:09
For sure.
00:17:09
Yeah.
00:17:10
We,
00:17:10
it's a good one.
00:17:12
And I mean, this guy over here is taking, what, like, 10 scoops a day or so too for us.
00:17:16
You at that point, you're gonna hit a tolerance at some point.
00:17:18
Well, I gotta hit, so, like, yeah, my goal on a daily basis is to be I get about 225 grams of
00:17:24
protein in.
00:17:26
So to get that through whole food sources, I'd just be eating all day.
00:17:29
And with a hydrolyzed, like, I literally can drink it.
00:17:32
You know, I can drink it like water.
00:17:33
Like, I guzzle it.
00:17:35
So it's a lot easier for me to get in 2 or 3 shakes than it would be sitting down and eating
00:17:41
a steak or, you know, you know, 8 8 ounce, chicken, you know, fillet or something like
00:17:46
that.
00:17:47
Just the, you know, whole I do still do eat, but I just don't wanna feel, like, heavy all
00:17:51
day where I feel like I have to break down that you know, the whole food.
00:17:54
So it has helped me in that capacity.
00:17:57
See, it's crazy you say that because it's honestly wild the amount of times that I go to
00:18:02
a place, and then after the workout, I'm like, hey.
00:18:04
Do you guys wanna try some protein?
00:18:05
They're like, oh, no.
00:18:06
Thanks.
00:18:06
And they're like, I eat all my protein.
00:18:10
And I'm like, okay.
00:18:12
Not awesome.
00:18:13
Yeah.
00:18:13
They're not huge enough.
00:18:15
For, like, how tall are you?
00:18:17
I'm I'm 62.
00:18:18
6 so we're the same height.
00:18:21
For a
00:18:21
6 2 guy, I'm I'm roughly around, like, £205 right now.
00:18:26
Yeah.
00:18:27
That is you know, to get that much in whole food sources is rather difficult to do with,
00:18:34
like and not feel heavy all day.
00:18:36
If I can if I can counteract that a little bit, I hands down, am I gonna take a protein shake
00:18:43
just to feel a little bit lighter, and that's, you know, that's my that's the way I hit my
00:18:47
targets every day.
00:18:48
You know, I was like, protein's the the most, important thing to me.
00:18:53
So and it should be to most people.
00:18:55
All people, really.
00:18:56
Exactly.
00:18:58
Sweet, man.
00:19:00
And then so okay.
00:19:00
So the pre workouts, the protein, any are you guys thinking of anything else?
00:19:04
Do you have any other supplements on the on the line?
00:19:07
Yes.
00:19:07
I'm glad you asked this.
00:19:08
We also have an intra workout.
00:19:10
Now this one right here, it does taste different.
00:19:13
I might have to send you guys this, but with this intra, it is the most underrated product.
00:19:17
And the reason being is that we have your electrolytes.
00:19:20
We have your BCAAs that are fermented, meaning they come from plant based.
00:19:24
If it doesn't say fermented or enstatized, that means it literally comes from duck feathers or
00:19:28
hair, which a lot of people didn't know.
00:19:31
So that's why our intra tastes a little bit different.
00:19:33
And then we also have hicca in there, which helps with delayed onset muscle soreness, and
00:19:38
then tart cherry extract.
00:19:39
And our EAAs are dosed based on the recommended daily value of a 200 pound male.
00:19:46
And I looked at our dosage forms of our intra versus everybody else on the market, and ours
00:19:51
are a lot higher.
00:19:52
It's just getting over the plant based taste is what kinda gets people.
00:19:57
But I'm telling you, like, this right here is this product is a cheat code for recovery.
00:20:02
Alright.
00:20:02
Nice, man.
00:20:02
Do you do you put creatine in there as well?
00:20:04
Or
00:20:05
No.
00:20:05
So our next product coming out here soon is gonna be creatine, and so that's kind of our
00:20:11
next one.
00:20:11
But you can still stack it with creatine.
00:20:13
It's just that our recovery product, like, it's an 18 gram scoop.
00:20:17
So if we were to add creatine in there, oh, that'd be a whopper.
00:20:21
That'd be a lot.
00:20:22
Yeah.
00:20:22
We recently just dove into this a little bit in terms of how Creatine can be used the most
00:20:30
effect with the most effectiveness.
00:20:31
And it it's funny you say that interactivity is actually the best source of Creatine
00:20:37
consumption.
00:20:38
Yeah.
00:20:39
So when we come out with that, we're gonna be like, hey.
00:20:42
Stack this with that.
00:20:43
Yeah.
00:20:44
That's what I'm doing.
00:20:45
Right now, like, I do an interest stack.
00:20:47
It's a it's an EAA, a create like, I do creatine, and then I do some dextrose powder
00:20:52
just for that, you know, that burning fuel.
00:20:54
That's like my interest stack, but I'm interested to try yours too.
00:20:57
I'll I'll buy some here.
00:20:59
Because, dude yeah.
00:21:00
So that was the big thing was BCAAs were, like, marketed like crazy, and then people started
00:21:05
getting realizing that it's the EAA's that are more important.
00:21:08
But when you pair them together, the BCAAs are part of that profile too.
00:21:12
So that's a really cool combo.
00:21:14
Exactly.
00:21:15
Nice.
00:21:15
Good stuff.
00:21:16
So you said then next you got coming out, what, 2 more products?
00:21:19
You got the creatine and a a recovery?
00:21:21
Or what's
00:21:22
So so currently, we have the, strawberry kiwi pre, non stem, pink lemonade pre, island
00:21:28
paradise intra workout, and then the chocolate and vanilla plant proteins.
00:21:32
Our next one is gonna be the creatine, which is gonna hopefully come out within the next 60
00:21:36
days, knock on wood.
00:21:37
Cool.
00:21:38
And then from there, it's just kinda like, we love reaching out to our consumers saying, hey.
00:21:42
What do you guys want next?
00:21:44
Mhmm.
00:21:44
Because, you know, I can sit here all day and talk with my wife and our chief of marketing
00:21:48
about what we're gonna do, but every time I go someplace, everyone is always asking, do you
00:21:53
guys have creatine?
00:21:53
Do you guys have creatine?
00:21:54
And I'm like, okay.
00:21:55
If we had it right now, would you buy it?
00:21:56
They're like, yeah.
00:21:57
I'm like, okay.
00:21:57
Bet.
00:21:59
Yeah.
00:22:00
And do you do this full time, or are you still a pharmacist?
00:22:02
No, man.
00:22:03
I'm still a pharmacist.
00:22:04
So I work 40 hours a week.
00:22:05
I go to work right here at 9:30.
00:22:07
And then after that, it's just 40 hours a week are gone.
00:22:11
And then when I'm not working, my days off, I'm doing the demos.
00:22:14
For example, I had Monday Tuesday off this week.
00:22:17
So Monday Tuesday, I did a demo in the morning, demo in the evening.
00:22:20
And then during the day, I was fulfilling orders, doing the social media.
00:22:24
And so it's a lot, man.
00:22:26
It's it's definitely a lot, but
00:22:29
he's our kinda dude, though, bro.
00:22:30
He sees the grind.
00:22:31
He's a hustler right there.
00:22:32
I love that.
00:22:33
We got And then are you, mainly direct to consumer?
00:22:36
Are you on Amazon?
00:22:37
Yeah.
00:22:37
So we're on Amazon, Walmart, bodybuilding.com, and this is all through word-of-mouth.
00:22:42
So, I'm very grateful to be here because most brands that are just, you know, word-of-mouth,
00:22:47
self funded are not necessarily on those type of platforms, but, I'm just, you know, so
00:22:53
grateful for everyone else's support and the work that we put in to get on those platforms.
00:22:57
And so, I don't know if you guys can see this, but, you know, this right here is the place.
00:23:04
Stack.
00:23:05
We're running kinda low on some things, which is good, but I still fulfill all of our all of
00:23:10
our orders from the house.
00:23:12
Nice.
00:23:12
I
00:23:13
mean, there's you know, based on what you just said, there's two reasons you're on this show.
00:23:16
1, because you're a real dude, and and I like the hustle, and you you fit into our, you know,
00:23:20
kind of, the kind of guys we are, but it's a great product too.
00:23:24
Right?
00:23:24
Like, if this wasn't a good product, like, we probably wouldn't be happy to have the show.
00:23:27
So we wanna keep that out, and we're all about, like, you know, spreading that.
00:23:31
We're not making money off of you right now.
00:23:32
So we're just spreading the word on this because it helped us.
00:23:34
We enjoy it.
00:23:35
So let's share it with other people.
00:23:37
I appreciate that.
00:23:38
Yeah.
00:23:38
Of course, bro.
00:23:39
For sure, man.
00:23:40
Love the product and, definitely, man, wish the best to you.
00:23:44
I know a lot of success coming here in the near future.
00:23:47
And so on the personal side, man, so your dad, 2 kids.
00:23:50
I got 2 kids.
00:23:51
He's got 3.
00:23:51
So we get that too, man.
00:23:52
How old are your kids?
00:23:54
So our first born, Milani, she is 3 years old, and then our newest one
00:23:59
is 10 months and, baby Nala.
00:24:02
And what I've realized is, gosh, I am caught up in this battle of trying to manage, you know,
00:24:08
my fitness, my time with my wife, my kids, the business, pharmacy.
00:24:12
And what I've realized is I just need to stick this out because I know time is gonna pass
00:24:18
regardless.
00:24:19
And that when they're of a certain age, based on the work that we put in now, we're gonna be
00:24:24
able to hopefully do things that we couldn't do had I just stayed where I was at.
00:24:28
So that's kind of the struggle that I'm at, but the times that we do get together, I make sure
00:24:32
to cherish them.
00:24:34
It's huge, man.
00:24:35
Alright.
00:24:35
Couple girl dads on here, both y'all.
00:24:37
For real.
00:24:37
3 girls.
00:24:38
I got 2 boys.
00:24:39
I got 3 girls.
00:24:41
I mean, well, it's also that's what it's all about.
00:24:43
It's that balance.
00:24:44
You know?
00:24:44
That's kind of what we always kinda come back to here, man, is maintaining.
00:24:48
Right?
00:24:48
Because, you know, you put too much into one bucket, the other buckets are what did you call
00:24:52
it, Matthew Burners?
00:24:53
Right?
00:24:53
You got one burner really high.
00:24:55
You're you you gotta sacrifice in other areas.
00:24:57
So making sure, like you said, staying present and coming back home to that, bro.
00:25:01
Yeah.
00:25:01
That I mean, that was one thing I had to do when my girls were really young and I was busy,
00:25:07
is my my fitness actually did take a little bit more of a back seat.
00:25:12
Not I train much different today than I did, you know, 5 years ago, and it took more of a
00:25:18
functional route where I did kettlebells.
00:25:20
That's all I did.
00:25:21
And I had 45 minutes in the morning, and that was it.
00:25:24
Right?
00:25:24
That was, like, my
00:25:24
training, but I made sure that, like, that burner wasn't super high, but it
00:25:25
was still there.
00:25:25
And then I the continuation is up a little bit more capacity now.
00:25:28
They're a little bit older, but still enjoy raising, 3 girls.
00:25:37
It's been amazing.
00:25:39
I love it.
00:25:40
Tell our listeners, you know, obviously, you said you got the new products on the rise.
00:25:44
That's exciting.
00:25:45
I'm excited to see those and try them.
00:25:48
Tell our listeners where they can find you, where they can find the products, follow you,
00:25:52
kind of the journey and all that, man.
00:25:54
Yeah.
00:25:54
Perfect.
00:25:54
So my Instagram handle personal is atdr.taylormartin at doctor Taylor Martin, and
00:26:01
then our company, Thentic, is athentic official.
00:26:04
Those are on the Instagrams, and then our website is authentic nutrition.com.
00:26:09
People are just like, well, how do you how do you spell authentic?
00:26:11
Well, just remember authentic without the a u.
00:26:13
And if you just type authentic, hopefully, it will pop up.
00:26:16
Those are where the products are coming.
00:26:18
And, yeah, you know, my Instagram, I just try to lead by example.
00:26:21
And then on the authentic official, we try to collab with as real like minded people as
00:26:26
possible.
00:26:28
Awesome.
00:26:28
Love that, man.
00:26:29
Well, make sure you go check them out.
00:26:30
For everyone listening in, to their website, we'll put everything in the show notes as well,
00:26:36
to make sure that, we, we get some, get some, traffic over to you, brother.
00:26:42
Sure.
00:26:42
Thanks for coming on the show.
00:26:44
Yeah.
00:26:44
Thank you.

Alright.
