00:00:00
What are the sum total of our past experience of circumstances and sociological constructs?
00:00:04
That's it.
00:00:04
That's why you have a god of your understanding, you have a god of your
00:00:07
understanding, I have a god my understanding.
00:00:09
And so we our impact matters because we're forming that
00:00:12
future citizen, that future of homeland, that's part of what
00:00:16
we're you, which is why I say it's here at all times.
00:00:19
And and specifically see ill and how you can earn it.
00:00:22
Stop cheating on your family with your work.
00:00:24
You're committing adultery.
00:00:25
No.
00:00:25
No.
00:00:25
I don't have another woman.
00:00:26
No.
00:00:26
But you gotta and that gets all your time, energy, talent, intimacy.
00:00:29
It's all there.
00:00:29
Right?
00:00:29
Your your family deserves more than that.
00:00:29
Welcome to the Full Field podcast with, your host,
00:00:37
Matt Tak.
00:00:38
Oh, for the Lesley.
00:00:39
What's up, baby?
00:00:40
What's up, man?
00:00:40
And we got a special guest down here today.
00:00:42
We got doc Ferris one of my best friends, from the Sacred CEO.
00:00:47
He's rolling out this program.
00:00:48
This is amazing.
00:00:49
We're gonna dive right in get into it, but, we wanna give you the background.
00:00:54
But let me tell you a little bit about dock.
00:00:57
Dock is an international speaker.
00:01:00
He's obviously the president and the CEO of the Sacred CEO where he comes in and really
00:01:05
galvanizes spirit led platforms within large organizations, for the kingdom's purpose.
00:01:12
So he comes in there and he cultivates that community and really makes a kingdom focused.
00:01:14
And then not only that, he is a husband and a, of 4 kids.
00:01:19
I'm a I'm actually a dad of 4 kids.
00:01:19
I didn't marry my kids.
00:01:27
Oh, you didn't marry you.
00:01:28
Yeah.
00:01:28
Yeah.
00:01:28
I know we probably should get
00:01:29
it right.
00:01:30
Yeah.
00:01:30
Americans.
00:01:30
He's a
00:01:31
but he is a husband, to Trish fairs, which is an animal.
00:01:35
Actually, in the show notes, we'll show.
00:01:37
She actually runs, Fred Oaks Farms, which we have an affiliate link, so we're gonna drop
00:01:42
that.
00:01:42
She is the president of that organization.
00:01:45
And and then, we have doc on here today, baby.
00:01:48
What's up?
00:01:48
Sup, man.
00:01:49
Glad to be here.
00:01:50
Dude, I'm so excited about that.
00:01:51
Yeah.
00:01:51
I'm excited about this.
00:01:52
We're just
00:01:52
Pleasure to
00:01:52
reach you, man.
00:01:53
Yeah.
00:01:53
It's great meeting you, man.
00:01:54
Yeah.
00:01:54
It's always always cool to see somebody, like, online.
00:01:57
Like, I watched the podcast, and I'm like, when I walk, he walks in, like, wait, I know that
00:02:00
guy.
00:02:01
We know each other.
00:02:02
No.
00:02:02
I've only seen you on camera.
00:02:03
Like, yeah.
00:02:04
Yeah.
00:02:04
So it's great to be in person.
00:02:06
Yeah.
00:02:06
Yeah.
00:02:06
It is, man.
00:02:07
Yeah.
00:02:07
Every day, apparently.
00:02:09
You know, we're just bummed posting out feeds.
00:02:11
Yeah.
00:02:11
I think every morning.
00:02:12
Yeah.
00:02:12
This is the beauty about social media too.
00:02:15
Is that like every morning?
00:02:16
I think you are probably the only person that I put notifications on when things pop up.
00:02:21
And so, like, every morning, doc added to a story.
00:02:24
And I'm like, alright.
00:02:25
I thank you literally every morning, bro.
00:02:27
I love you.
00:02:27
Yeah.
00:02:28
So let's dive right into the Sacred CEO.
00:02:30
It's absolutely gonna revolutionize how we operate.
00:02:35
Within what we consider the secular environment.
00:02:36
But at the end of the day, everything's sacred, as you say.
00:02:36
You're bringing that marketplace.
00:02:36
You're bringing the sacredness and how we are going to propel the marketplace in future years
00:02:46
because it is desperately needed.
00:02:47
So take us through the, say, secret CEO.
00:02:52
What your vision is behind it.
00:02:54
Yeah.
00:02:54
So, you know, 8 years ago, in in my abiding time, I just, you know, the lord impressed on
00:03:01
me these words.
00:03:02
He said you're not gonna spend the last half of your life entertaining Christians, but
00:03:06
influencing moral change And I didn't know what that meant at the time because at the time, I
00:03:10
was pastoring and it was all, you know, some a lot of cool things going on.
00:03:13
Things were happening.
00:03:15
But but over that that span of time, things begin to morph.
00:03:18
And, you know, I just started to really get a great connection with a lot entrepreneurs and
00:03:22
CEOs.
00:03:23
And Mhmm.
00:03:23
Here's how it started.
00:03:24
A bunch of young guys.
00:03:26
I was always impressed with this, by the way.
00:03:27
These young guys that were in their twenties, making 1 of dollars.
00:03:31
And I I just I was as a pastor, I was always enamored by these guys.
00:03:34
Just had that business mind.
00:03:36
So I started getting these phone calls from these guys, and they were like, hey, someone
00:03:39
told me to call you, I'm an entrepreneur, solo entrepreneur, whatever.
00:03:43
I'm making a lot of money.
00:03:45
Professionally, I'm crushing it, but you know, I'm my marriage is falling apart, or I'm
00:03:51
addicted to porn, or I can't, you know, I'm I'm I'm a, you know, I'm overweight.
00:03:56
Can't eat, you know, whatever.
00:03:57
All these say, they just their personal life was a mess.
00:03:59
So they're this is what they said to me.
00:04:01
Can we hire you to be our
00:04:01
my spiritual mentor?
00:04:01
I'm
00:04:04
like, I don't know what the spiritual mentor is, but I sure know what higher means.
00:04:08
So, sure.
00:04:08
Yeah.
00:04:09
Let's go let's go to work, baby.
00:04:10
So I'll figure it out.
00:04:11
Yeah.
00:04:11
I'll I'll figure out what that means.
00:04:13
So it it and that just kinda grew in more of them 2 years ago.
00:04:17
I so by the way, back back story, that it started out as the warriors Elite Warriors and
00:04:22
Warrior Nation.
00:04:24
And we really started connecting with all of these, CEOs from around the country.
00:04:24
Of course, our mentor and and our our great friend Ed Cobble, who runs $10 to a
00:04:33
$1 development company.
00:04:35
He's known everywhere.
00:04:36
Right?
00:04:36
So he started, you know, we were making connections with him and getting in with guys
00:04:40
and It just really grew and blew from there.
00:04:43
So we, we, had 2 years ago, I stepped out of the the leadership role at the church.
00:04:52
Mhmm.
00:04:53
And was kind of wandering around.
00:04:55
You ever been in that season?
00:04:55
Really?
00:04:55
I don't know what the next movie.
00:04:55
I know I know what I'm not supposed be doing, but I'm not sure yet what I'm supposed to be
00:05:01
doing.
00:05:01
Like, that, like, sort of sojourning season.
00:05:04
The lord, recent, you know, not too long ago, again, in the abiding time, I heard him say
00:05:08
you're not done planting churches.
00:05:10
And I was like, oh, man, I don't wanna do that anymore.
00:05:12
Like, I got out of that.
00:05:13
And he said, no, it gonna look like it used to.
00:05:15
You're gonna be planting them in the marketplace.
00:05:18
The the next revival's coming out of the marketplace.
00:05:20
We started praying for that whole process, and that's where this whole sacred CEO thing came
00:05:25
about.
00:05:25
And here's sort of the underlining sort of, the the, what would you call this?
00:05:26
The the vision of it is, when a for a Christian entrepreneur and a Christian CEO, most of their
00:05:38
life, when they go to church on Sunday, their sacred, when they go to work on Monday, they're
00:05:43
secular.
00:05:43
Yeah.
00:05:44
It's like 2 different worlds.
00:05:45
Right.
00:05:46
So the idea that the question we ask is what would it look like if we were to we were like
00:05:50
to have this kingdom mind shift where everything they see in their life is sacred.
00:05:55
Imagine what their companies would look like.
00:05:57
Imagine how they would, you know, handle their jobs.
00:05:59
Imagine what the integrity would look like.
00:06:01
Imagine how they would treat their employees and what they, you know, what what we could do,
00:06:05
not just bringing people in to help us move the needle in our company, but what if we saw the
00:06:09
people that were in our company as our permissioners for a lack of a better term.
00:06:13
Like, these were our church members.
00:06:15
Right?
00:06:15
And we're gonna care about their soul as much as we care about them, you know, moving the
00:06:19
needle for this company.
00:06:20
That's awesome.
00:06:21
And, it's what's fascinating about this whole thing is when you have this conversation with
00:06:26
CEOs who know their their calling goes beyond building a real estate company or goes beyond a
00:06:31
nutrition cut.
00:06:31
Yeah.
00:06:32
They're like, I'm I'm I'm supposed to build this, but I know there's a kingdom calling
00:06:35
somewhere in
00:06:36
when
00:06:37
you give them permission to start asking that question, it the game starts to
00:06:40
change, bro.
00:06:41
It starts to change.
00:06:42
And then they go, well, wait a minute.
00:06:44
You mean to tell me that god's actually is has given me this company so that I can leverage
00:06:49
that to advance the kingdom, sign me up.
00:06:52
I'm in.
00:06:52
Yeah.
00:06:52
How do I now, of course, the next thing I have to do is do I do it?
00:06:55
I don't do it.
00:06:56
That's where we come in.
00:06:57
We come in and we take this model and we literally drop it into their organization.
00:07:01
So I would I had 3 companies here in Tampa.
00:07:03
That's why I'm down.
00:07:04
This last 2 days, I meet with all their executives.
00:07:08
And we do a whole thing through the health and wholeness and helping them become the
00:07:11
healthiest version of themselves.
00:07:12
We do the leadership for, like, It's the we're we're pouring into their lives, and the
00:07:18
response has been unbelievable.
00:07:21
Like, fact, one of the companies in Tampa said this, the the the executive said to their their
00:07:27
CEO, their the owner said, why did you wait so long to do this with us?
00:07:30
This is unbelievable.
00:07:32
So there's been such an incredible response.
00:07:34
It's like, wow.
00:07:35
You care about us at a deeper level.
00:07:37
Yeah.
00:07:38
So
00:07:38
we're just seeing this really cool ground swelling and shaking in the with this with this
00:07:43
movement.
00:07:43
That's amazing.
00:07:44
And I mean, it's it's like so many people don't think that you can blend your fade and make
00:07:49
money.
00:07:49
Right?
00:07:50
You think there's like a disparity there, but it's like, you can't do it for the glory God.
00:07:53
Right?
00:07:53
And I think that's kinda what you're, like, exposing is that that's not true.
00:07:56
Yeah.
00:07:57
It's it's for most CEOs, it's it's in either or not at both end.
00:08:00
Right.
00:08:01
And so that's why I'm, you know, again, I I get to be secular on Sunday, but I gotta be sec I'm
00:08:04
sorry.
00:08:04
I get to be sacred on Sunday.
00:08:06
I've gotta be secular on Monday.
00:08:07
Yeah.
00:08:07
It's like, no, you don't.
00:08:08
If there's no there's no separation.
00:08:10
Yeah.
00:08:10
It's sacred everything I do.
00:08:13
And it's
00:08:13
and, again, it's but it had it has to start, like, everything.
00:08:15
You talk you taught me this, man.
00:08:17
You talk a lot about this.
00:08:18
There has to be mind shift.
00:08:19
And this is a kingdom mind shift.
00:08:21
Right?
00:08:21
You can't, you know, Paul wrote in Roman 1212.
00:08:25
He said transformation starts with the renewing of your mind.
00:08:27
You gotta get rid of old programming, replace it with programming.
00:08:30
And that's really the secret to anything you're gonna do successfully in life.
00:08:32
Mhmm.
00:08:33
That's gonna be, like, daily.
00:08:34
Right?
00:08:34
I mean Yeah.
00:08:35
Daily renewal.
00:08:36
Yep.
00:08:36
Yep.
00:08:36
Oh, yeah.
00:08:37
It's never worn and done.
00:08:38
Yeah.
00:08:38
Yeah.
00:08:39
Yeah.
00:08:39
Yeah.
00:08:40
No.
00:08:40
That's a I mean, such a crucial piece.
00:08:42
I think that, you know, when when you're taking that that sacred component on Sunday, bringing
00:08:49
it in to the marketplace.
00:08:50
This is something that I talked about in our small group this morning was, like, you are
00:08:56
regardless or not, this is what you taught me.
00:08:58
Like, there's there's going to be an interruption to our lifestyle.
00:09:01
Right?
00:09:02
Always.
00:09:02
It's like a good, bad, and different.
00:09:04
Like, there's always
00:09:04
gonna be interrupting patterns
00:09:04
that are naturally going to exist.
00:09:09
But when you create that level of community and that safety of where you're spending majority
00:09:15
of your time, right, you're then giving more trust to the employees because you're going the
00:09:21
top down approach of, like, creating the the the the foundation within the C suite.
00:09:28
Right?
00:09:29
So you're investing all into
00:09:29
the C suite.
00:09:29
This is what I'm gathering, and you can
00:09:29
correct me if I'm But, like, investing into that C suite so that when in something that you
00:09:38
had mentioned to me that we were talking about was, like, when crisis management and
00:09:41
interruptions do exist, that there is like, hey, we're gonna come alongside you.
00:09:46
Right?
00:09:46
We're gonna create and cultivate this community that's so strong, bonded, that it's inevitable
00:09:53
that, like, I'm not only gonna feel safe when I go home or when I go to church, I'm gonna be
00:09:59
safe when I come to work.
00:10:00
Yes.
00:10:00
Because we we flipped every we flipped the script on everything and it made everything
00:10:04
sacred.
00:10:04
Yeah.
00:10:05
Dude, like, one of the most powerful things is creating and leveling that community.
00:10:09
And that's ultimately what I even saw being an elite warriors is we're like creating and
00:10:09
cultivating that
00:10:13
community.
00:10:17
Right?
00:10:17
It's the relationships that you exist that that then allow you to level up, but then feel like
00:10:21
safe that you can be vulnerable enough that when an interruption does exist.
00:10:26
That that's gonna be there's there's a beauty in that there's gonna be so much sacredness.
00:10:30
Well, I think about the the the culture of your company.
00:10:32
If it's like, you know, for a lot of employees, those executives, they know they have a pro
00:10:37
it's a performance base.
00:10:38
You have to perform, or you're not gonna have your job.
00:10:40
Yeah.
00:10:41
And so the the idea of the mentality is for most CEOs or from, sorry, for most employees is
00:10:46
that their CEO, their entrepreneur, their leader, that's all that he cares about.
00:10:50
That's all that she cares about.
00:10:52
Mhmm.
00:10:52
But when you provide something like you're describing where they go, holy smokes, they see
00:10:56
me as a person, not a number, not not, not a producer, but they also they realize I'm a
00:11:02
person.
00:11:02
One of the things I was sharing with the executives this this week I said, I know that
00:11:07
you when you come here from your 9 to 5, 8 to 5, whatever your hours are.
00:11:10
I know you have a job to do, but I also know that when you go home, you have a personal life
00:11:14
or you have problems you have face.
00:11:16
Yeah.
00:11:16
You have a job you have to do here and problems you have to face there.
00:11:19
Imagine what it would look like if we had an outlet for you to bring that problem here, and
00:11:25
we're gonna help you navigate through that so that you're successful at home just as you are
00:11:30
at work.
00:11:31
We all know this.
00:11:31
We're all entrepreneurs and CEOs in the room.
00:11:33
Yeah.
00:11:33
We know that the health of an organization is not predicated on KPIs and ROIs but on the
00:11:38
health of the individuals within the organization.
00:11:40
Right.
00:11:41
You
00:11:41
could be crushing it on your KPIs.
00:11:42
You could be killing in your systems, your ROIs.
00:11:44
But if the people are not healthy, you're gonna have a massive turnover rate You're gonna have
00:11:49
incredible amounts of tension and drama within your office and by the water cooler.
00:11:53
All of that stuff becomes an issue within the work.
00:11:55
And so how do we shift that mindset and really help the people that are doing the work to be
00:12:00
healthy across the board?
00:12:01
That's really the the the overarching theme.
00:12:06
Yeah.
00:12:07
That's huge.
00:12:07
That's cool.
00:12:08
What are, like, some of the key strategies for that?
00:12:10
I mean, what do you guys like?
00:12:11
So we
00:12:12
so first thing we do with executives, I with the CEOs is we do private mentoring.
00:12:16
So they get, when they they come in, they become a sacred CEO, we we create what we call
00:12:20
the sacred boardroom.
00:12:21
And so they enter into the sacred boardroom and we do 2 months, 2 hours a a month of private
00:12:27
coaching.
00:12:28
The first thing we do, I wrote a I have a program called the 5 Pillars to mental health
00:12:31
and wholeness.
00:12:32
So I'm evaluating them in the first part.
00:12:34
Here, by the way, it's a 12 month commitment.
00:12:35
They come in for a year.
00:12:36
Yeah.
00:12:37
And so, I'm I'm evaluating them.
00:12:39
I'm helping them.
00:12:40
We're taking them, helping them find their character defects.
00:12:42
Right?
00:12:42
What, you know, what is it about your behaviors and patterns that are leading to toxicity
00:12:48
within your work environment or with your employees, with your wife, with your kids.
00:12:52
Right?
00:12:52
Let's identify those pieces.
00:12:53
We take them through trauma work, shadow work.
00:12:55
We do all of those things.
00:12:56
Right?
00:12:56
And then we offer the leadership training.
00:12:58
You know, how do we how do we really fortify ourselves as strong leaders?
00:13:02
And, you know, one of the things that we teach is that leadership is not a position.
00:13:06
And I love what John Maxwell said.
00:13:08
He said, the the best of leaders, don't lead with the leveraging of money, but they with
00:13:14
that could they can leverage volunteers.
00:13:16
Right?
00:13:16
There's no there's nothing to leverage.
00:13:17
So we teach them how to increase their leadership, not by leveraging something, but
00:13:23
but by in in raising the level of their influence.
00:13:26
Mhmm.
00:13:26
How do you influence impact rates?
00:13:27
So it's a lot of that stuff.
00:13:29
Cool.
00:13:29
And then we, we do in house visits.
00:13:31
We go 3 to four times a year.
00:13:33
We come in, do all of that.
00:13:35
We do the exact same thing with their executives once a month.
00:13:38
Then we provide it at we provide all of the content to their employees if they need it.
00:13:43
So we have a whole program that's called the sacred marriage.
00:13:45
So you got someone walks up to you and your office goes, Hey, Matt.
00:13:48
Just wanna let you know I'm going through a dev you know, my wife said she's gonna file for
00:13:52
divorce.
00:13:53
Man, got a job to do today, but I got some for you, you know, see me afterward, you you make
00:13:58
available the sacred marriage content for them, and they can go through that whole thing.
00:14:01
And then we can provide crises intervention and help.
00:14:04
So Wow.
00:14:04
It's a holistic approach to the entire company.
00:14:08
It the the honing in, of course, you say there's all time top down.
00:14:11
The honing in is at the head, you know, at the at the top.
00:14:14
Yeah.
00:14:14
And then we just kinda let that.
00:14:16
Because eventually, we want some of the executives within the company being able to
00:14:22
start nurturing and doing this with their employees.
00:14:25
I can't do that, but they can as we're raising up.
00:14:28
Does that make sense?
00:14:29
Yeah.
00:14:29
Yeah.
00:14:29
They have all the tools to do it.
00:14:30
That's awesome, man.
00:14:31
Yeah.
00:14:31
That's really cool.
00:14:32
Yeah.
00:14:32
One of the things that we in the elite warriors too.
00:14:35
Like, we always say, like, we're the head not the tail.
00:14:37
Right?
00:14:38
But that doesn't come with, like, this alpha mentality of, like, not being able to be
00:14:43
vulnerable.
00:14:44
Right.
00:14:44
There's this massive gap of like, okay, you're the head not the tail, but I'm gonna come in
00:14:50
with an alpha authority that just tries to dictate and manipulate everything.
00:14:54
Yeah.
00:14:55
Yeah.
00:14:55
It has nothing to do with that.
00:14:56
It has everything to do with opening of some date is going through a level of crisis.
00:15:01
I may even but, hey, I'm not gonna shy away from the exposure of, like, the pain that I'm
00:15:06
potentially, like, like, that I'm going through.
00:15:08
And I think that's where the nurturing or you create more power.
00:15:12
And I think, you know, that's honestly what people are looking for is just
00:15:15
like, and
00:15:15
and you wanna you don't cross the board.
00:15:17
I think they're saying, like, authenticity vulnerability is, like, that's the that's the
00:15:22
tool that people really want, that the the attractiveness that brings in.
00:15:26
That's what ultimately the sacred CEO is like, hey, we're gonna galvanize this within
00:15:30
environments that you're gonna be spending 8 to 10 hours a day in.
00:15:33
Yeah.
00:15:33
Exactly.
00:15:34
Like most
00:15:34
of the life.
00:15:35
You wanna you feel
00:15:36
confident.
00:15:36
Right.
00:15:37
Right.
00:15:37
Like, that's a it's huge.
00:15:39
Well, you know, Jesus said blessed are the meek for they won't hear at the earth.
00:15:42
That work meek is not weak.
00:15:43
It's strict under control.
00:15:44
That's right.
00:15:44
The the most powerful men on the planet are the men and women.
00:15:48
Most powerful people are the men and women who know what their strengths are, but they have
00:15:52
the self control.
00:15:52
They have the ability to control that strength.
00:15:55
Only let that strength out or go when it's when it's time or when it's needed.
00:16:00
Yeah.
00:16:00
But at the same time, they're not afraid of vulnerability.
00:16:03
Volatility is not an enemy.
00:16:05
It's a friend.
00:16:05
A friend.
00:16:06
Yeah.
00:16:06
Because, you know, again, the 3 most dangerous words a person will ever say in their life is
00:16:10
I've got this.
00:16:15
If you wanna hear your question answered live on the show, submit it to ask at fullfuel.com,
00:16:21
check out the optimizers program where we build max muscle, improve longevity, and get guys
00:16:26
freaking shredded so that they can crush it at life for as long as possible.
00:16:29
Live full field.
00:16:30
Lead the on limits, baby.
00:16:35
Yes.
00:16:35
Right.
00:16:36
Yeah.
00:16:36
But but the 3 most powerful words you will say in your life is I need some help or I need
00:16:40
help.
00:16:40
And so if you're if you're at that place where you're or you're creating an environment.
00:16:45
You have a culture where people can come and go, hey, I need help.
00:16:48
And then as an entrepreneur, you go, Got you covered.
00:16:51
Like, imagine having the tools to be able to do that.
00:16:53
Yeah.
00:16:53
It changes the into your now you're a family.
00:16:56
It's not just a workforce.
00:16:57
Now we're a family.
00:16:58
And
00:16:58
we're up.
00:16:59
I don't care if you got 500 employees.
00:17:00
We're a family here.
00:17:01
Yeah.
00:17:01
Yeah.
00:17:02
You hear a lot of people tout that, but that's not really true in their culture.
00:17:05
If you
00:17:05
get to the if you get embedded within their culture, there's no real family environment
00:17:09
there.
00:17:09
This changes that whole process.
00:17:11
That's amazing, man.
00:17:12
I've never heard of anything like this, to be honest.
00:17:13
There's a health component too.
00:17:15
You were telling me when you were kinda filling me in about, like, like, you take people do
00:17:18
fasting and stuff like that, or because we talk about that
00:17:20
all the time.
00:17:20
So one of the things that, you know, so Matt probably has talked to you about this.
00:17:24
We we teach our guys, you know, to get up every day and you pray 3 things.
00:17:28
Ideas, imagination, implementation.
00:17:31
I cannot stress this enough to CEOs because what most of us do as as type a leaders and
00:17:37
runners we get up, do a bunch of stuff, and then ask god to get in the middle of it and
00:17:41
bless it.
00:17:41
Right?
00:17:42
And he's like, I'm not really that wasn't that's not where I was going with you.
00:17:45
Like, I'd love to do that, but I had something totally different in mind.
00:17:48
So get up every day and say, father, what is it that you're blessing?
00:17:52
And then as he brings that revelation, you're in pursuit of that.
00:17:55
So that's part of what you just ask every day ideas, imagination, implementation.
00:17:59
God, give me a favor on all things with all men, given the ideas, imagination, the ability
00:18:03
to carry it out.
00:18:03
One of the ideas that God gave me was I want you to build out affiliates in this.
00:18:07
And so that's where we take a guy, like, Matt, hit you guys with nutritious.
00:18:13
You come in because you guys know this better than I do.
00:18:16
A lot of CEOs and entrepreneurs are terrible when it comes to their health.
00:18:21
Mhmm.
00:18:22
They're fat asses.
00:18:23
They're out of control with their you know, they just they can't
00:18:26
It's it's right.
00:18:26
Yeah.
00:18:27
But Yeah.
00:18:28
Did you
00:18:28
guys say that?
00:18:28
I mean, did
00:18:29
I say it on the shelf?
00:18:30
Of course, you're reality.
00:18:30
Yeah.
00:18:31
No.
00:18:31
No.
00:18:31
No.
00:18:31
Absolutely.
00:18:32
Whatever you want.
00:18:32
But but I was that guy, so I'm gonna tell you, sorry.
00:18:35
So about the fasting deal.
00:18:37
And this is why it matters to me.
00:18:38
But, I I brought a business partner in, and he was super.
00:18:43
He was just a really un this was just a couple years ago.
00:18:45
He was wildly unhealthy, and I don't just mean physically he was unhealthy.
00:18:49
Mentally, He was unhealthy, spiritually, emote all of it.
00:18:52
He was unhealthy, but he was also unhealthy physically.
00:18:55
Well, when you get around somebody like that, who doesn't care you have a tendency.
00:19:00
Most of the time, not most of the time, but a lot of times, you don't bring them up to you.
00:19:04
You you you sink down the peep you know what I'm saying?
00:19:07
Like, who
00:19:07
use 100%.
00:19:08
Yeah.
00:19:08
You run with Dodge, you get fleas.
00:19:09
Right?
00:19:10
You're you're like the people you hang around.
00:19:11
So I started to just sort of go down that train, that track of just letting myself go.
00:19:16
I wasn't working now.
00:19:18
We were too busy to do that stuff.
00:19:20
And and I didn't notice it.
00:19:21
You know, I'm saying, like, you have a way to stand in front of the mirror and look at
00:19:24
yourself, go, y'all look pretty good.
00:19:25
Yeah.
00:19:25
But in reality, you're a fat ass.
00:19:27
You don't look
00:19:28
at it.
00:19:29
And, so Matt rolls up, you know, the family come up, and, we're out at we live on a a 2000
00:19:35
acre ranch in South Georgia.
00:19:37
He rolls up and we're all hanging out and he were like, let's go to the river.
00:19:40
So we go to the river.
00:19:41
And, Matt takes his shirt off.
00:19:43
And I'm like, Mother.
00:19:45
Oh,
00:19:47
damn, boy.
00:19:49
So I I'm like, I gotta take my shirt off getting a river.
00:19:52
And, I mean, I had an inner tube, and I didn't have to rent that thing.
00:19:54
It was, like, there, frankly.
00:20:01
Sums off here.
00:20:03
And so I I was like, I
00:20:06
I didn't even tell him this at the time, but, he was all like, but he's like, let's go swim
00:20:11
the river and he goes down.
00:20:13
He's almost swimming up current.
00:20:14
What's that?
00:20:14
Didn't go well.
00:20:15
Oh, that's how that go up.
00:20:17
But he was he's all full
00:20:18
of energy and all stuff.
00:20:19
I'm like, What happened to me, man?
00:20:21
I was that guy.
00:20:21
I didn't say anything at the time, but, anyway, I went home that night.
00:20:25
I was like, you gotta you gotta get your your stuff in order.
00:20:29
Like, this is not gonna this isn't working.
00:20:31
So I it motivated me to go on a process.
00:20:33
And so I started watching his reels, and I started his dumbbell.
00:20:36
I, you know, I got a couple dumbbells.
00:20:38
You know, I started going through all that stuff.
00:20:40
And then, of course, he introduced us to nutritious and that got me on a whole another
00:20:45
realm, started doing some reading on fasting.
00:20:49
So I'm in my 12th week now, I eat one meal a day, 5 o'clock in the evening.
00:20:54
Awesome.
00:20:55
I have a supplement, called Living Fuels.
00:20:57
Phenomenal.
00:20:58
All the nutrition the nutrition and vitamins everything my body needs on a daily basis.
00:21:02
Do that 11 o'clock.
00:21:04
And eat that one meal over those 12 weeks.
00:21:06
I mean, I've dropped, you know, 26, £27 I'm I'm almost fifty.
00:21:11
I'm starting to get my abs back.
00:21:13
Like, all that's starting to happen again.
00:21:15
Yeah.
00:21:15
And, But it's it's mind blowing.
00:21:19
How much different you feel in the
00:21:19
emotional and spiritual component Right.
00:21:25
It is a lot.
00:21:26
It's a full alignment.
00:21:28
Yeah.
00:21:28
Yeah.
00:21:28
And so I'm like, we can't just get these guys healthy spiritually and emotionally and
00:21:33
mentally.
00:21:34
We gotta get them healthy physically, and we may need to start there.
00:21:37
Yeah.
00:21:37
Like, their focus may be off.
00:21:39
Their clarity, their a bit their energy may be in the toilet.
00:21:42
Because they just eat like crap Yeah.
00:21:44
Or they're overweight.
00:21:46
So that component is, Matt, you're gonna be the 1.
00:21:49
We're hosting a retreat.
00:21:52
You know, a bunch of them next year, but he's gonna come in, and he's gonna bring all just
00:21:55
for CEOs and entrepreneurs, and he's gonna bring that component.
00:21:58
Let's talk about this, and we're gonna help provide you with the way to, you know, change
00:22:01
your lifestyle.
00:22:02
Yeah.
00:22:03
Yeah.
00:22:03
I mean, it's such a big piece in terms of, like, what we talk about in a daily basis.
00:22:07
Like,
00:22:08
yeah.
00:22:08
Yes.
00:22:09
Like, how are we this is our kingdom right here.
00:22:11
He gave it to us.
00:22:12
And how are we making it the most dominant?
00:22:15
And not we're looking for the purposes of, like, we we, yeah, we wanna step into a layer
00:22:21
of dominance, because that's what the guys call this into.
00:22:23
At the end of the day, if we aren't keeping our body in tip top shape, we were balling last
00:22:27
night, and I'm not hanging in alignment.
00:22:29
Like, we got this on film too.
00:22:31
We are 9 and o up the, Julia Bee Lane.
00:22:34
And you're the old guy.
00:22:34
We're running them.
00:22:35
We're probably the 2
00:22:36
of the older guys.
00:22:37
Yep.
00:22:37
Yeah.
00:22:37
Man, you more than me, but I
00:22:39
Wait.
00:22:39
How how old are you?
00:22:40
I'm 32.
00:22:41
32.
00:22:41
You're 40.
00:22:42
38.
00:22:42
38.
00:22:43
But it doesn't matter.
00:22:45
We were running Yeah.
00:22:46
Running these twenty year old kids.
00:22:48
But that's the reality.
00:22:49
Right?
00:22:50
Is that they're like, dang.
00:22:51
They they they were turning their heads.
00:22:52
Yeah.
00:22:53
And it's in if I'm gonna be a physical representation of what god has called me into,
00:22:58
Here it is.
00:22:59
Mhmm.
00:22:59
Here's my template.
00:23:00
Let me
00:23:00
ask you a question.
00:23:01
If you're online watching some guru, sell you something, and his he's got an inner tube on,
00:23:08
you know, he's just a big bad boy, and he's peeling orange and sweating.
00:23:12
You got you're like, I'm not b I don't wanna buy what you're selling.
00:23:15
I mean, it's there that is the first presentation that you're giving in that.
00:23:20
And, I, again, it's, it's not something you worship, But it is but I do think it matters
00:23:25
because you're presenting yourself in front of people.
00:23:27
And so, I mean, I have a problem following somebody that can't keep their weight under
00:23:31
control.
00:23:32
Yeah.
00:23:32
I mean, what other areas of your life are out of control?
00:23:34
Guaranty.
00:23:35
Oh, yeah.
00:23:36
A bunch.
00:23:37
I mean, if
00:23:37
I took a leg off this table, it's gonna fall.
00:23:39
Right?
00:23:39
And so
00:23:39
you gotta have all those in place.
00:23:41
Our 6 pillars that we talk about on the show is, fuel.
00:23:44
So, like, what we're putting to
00:23:44
our body, movement, sleep.
00:23:46
Those are more like the the physical side of it.
00:23:49
But then we got mental, so mind, purpose, and then spirit.
00:23:53
And, like, dude, if you have each one of those 6 dialed in, you there's no way you can succeed
00:23:58
or or improve yourself.
00:23:59
Right?
00:24:00
Yeah.
00:24:00
You let one of them go.
00:24:01
It's gonna leak into the others.
00:24:03
Right?
00:24:03
It's gonna start to take away from everything
00:24:05
And and we all know this to be true that it is direction, not intention that leads to
00:24:09
destination.
00:24:10
Mhmm.
00:24:10
And the problem with most people is is that they have all they have good intention but they
00:24:15
don't have the right direction.
00:24:16
Yeah.
00:24:16
Mhmm.
00:24:16
So I if, you know, we're in Tampa and I tell everybody I'm gonna make a trip to New York
00:24:20
City and I put all of my stuff in my car and I get ready for New York City and get my clothes
00:24:25
or anything.
00:24:25
But I go south on 75.
00:24:27
I ain't ended up in New York City.
00:24:29
Yeah.
00:24:29
Mhmm.
00:24:29
I'm in up in my south Miami.
00:24:31
Yeah.
00:24:31
Yeah.
00:24:32
Yeah.
00:24:32
So, you know, the direct I'm not saying intention or intentionality.
00:24:36
It doesn't matter.
00:24:36
It does.
00:24:37
That's a key component.
00:24:38
Yeah.
00:24:38
But it doesn't start with intentionality.
00:24:40
I can sit 10 fat CEOs in a room.
00:24:42
And they all have an intention to look better or to be better.
00:24:46
Right?
00:24:46
But if somebody's not providing them with right direction, by the way, part of that direction
00:24:50
is their board of advisor.
00:24:51
Who do you have around you speaking into this thing?
00:24:54
Hey, man.
00:24:54
You need to lose some weight, bro.
00:24:55
Yeah.
00:24:56
Hey, man.
00:24:56
You're not you're you're emotionally not stable.
00:24:58
You had a lot of anger, bro.
00:24:59
We needed to Like, how much how important is that component in our lives, holdings?
00:25:04
You were you were telling me a story about a big CEO that you were talking to.
00:25:08
He's a up and up guy or whatever.
00:25:10
And you were like, hey, man, who do you have holding you accountable?
00:25:12
And he was like, me, I hold myself accountable.
00:25:14
I don't need anybody holding me accountable.
00:25:15
I hold myself accountable.
00:25:16
And you're like, Okay.
00:25:17
Let me know how that works out for you.
00:25:18
You know, like, you have to have people around that are willing to speak into your life and
00:25:23
and call you out.
00:25:24
Yeah.
00:25:24
That's right.
00:25:25
Yep.
00:25:25
Like, it is so important that's imperative, dude, that story that I told him.
00:25:29
I mean, this is a high level guy right now that I was talking to.
00:25:32
I went to an event in Jacksonville And I I had asked him that, and it was, like, more just,
00:25:37
hey, like, we're I want an engaging conversation, and we're talking about
00:25:41
therapeutic peptides and and working out.
00:25:43
He's, like, looking good.
00:25:45
But when he gave me that answer, bro, I was like, I wanna be, like, a 1000 feet from this
00:25:50
guy.
00:25:50
Yes.
00:25:50
Yes.
00:25:51
Like, this guy, I I'm not gonna put this on him to burn, but I was like, at the end of the day,
00:25:56
that ain't gonna be me.
00:25:58
I was like, I need accountability in my life.
00:26:01
Like, I need a board of directors.
00:26:03
I need that board of advisors that's gonna, like, say, hey, Checkmate Lego.
00:26:08
Checkmate.
00:26:09
You know what I mean?
00:26:09
Let's do it.
00:26:10
Let's figure this out.
00:26:10
I told people all the time.
00:26:11
I can't go up in my head without adult supervision.
00:26:13
I gotta have somebody up there.
00:26:15
You know what I'm saying?
00:26:16
Like, Let's walk through that.
00:26:17
Yeah.
00:26:18
That's why
00:26:18
I've I've taken the train off
00:26:20
the track so many times.
00:26:21
I've gotta have those people.
00:26:22
So in my world, it's like, Hey, I feel like this is a good move.
00:26:26
Can you confirm this in your prayer time?
00:26:27
Can you confirm this in your spirit?
00:26:29
Can you confirm, you know?
00:26:30
Yeah.
00:26:30
It's like,
00:26:30
yeah, I don't know if the timing's right on that.
00:26:32
I would slow down.
00:26:33
By the way, if you're married, your wife is a a number one key component to that.
00:26:38
Right?
00:26:38
Running things by your wife.
00:26:40
A spouse and saying, Hey, what are your thoughts on this and letting them speak into
00:26:44
that?
00:26:44
Yeah.
00:26:44
I was just saying that yesterday too, we were pitching And, it was at, network, a Christian
00:26:51
television network.
00:26:53
Some amazing guys there, by the way, and, went over there And I was like, you know what?
00:26:57
I was talking to my wife, and I was telling, like, in conversation with this with a pitch.
00:27:02
And I was like, you know, sometimes the father I feel like tells me something, And then I'm
00:27:06
like, you know, I'm just gonna double check that with my wife because she might hear
00:27:09
something different.
00:27:10
Right?
00:27:10
And so
00:27:11
there was even a case in
00:27:12
point where I asked her, she's like, I was like, man, you know, God closed that door.
00:27:17
She's like, but what's that door that was even open?
00:27:20
Like, you know what I mean?
00:27:21
Did you even ask me?
00:27:22
We did
00:27:23
pray through that together.
00:27:24
It was that a door that was even open.
00:27:26
Yeah.
00:27:26
And so, like, there's sometimes where I'm like,
00:27:28
I don't know.
00:27:28
I think I I kind of I kicked that door
00:27:31
up.
00:27:31
Yeah.
00:27:32
Yeah.
00:27:32
Or god will tell you something.
00:27:34
He'll reveal something to you in your prayer time.
00:27:37
You know, your quiet time.
00:27:38
He'll reveal something to you.
00:27:39
And you think that's the whole revelation Yeah.
00:27:41
And you don't ever come back and check back in.

00:28:17

00:28:19
Right?
00:28:19
And it's like,
00:28:23
Hey, bro.
00:28:23
Slow down.
00:28:24
Like, you got way ahead of me.
00:28:25
I got a whole bunch of other things to review.
00:28:27
Cause if god revealed it all at once, our our brains will explode.
00:28:30
So it's that it's that constant check back in.
00:28:32
Right?
00:28:32
You know what I mean?
00:28:33
Yeah.
00:28:33
That is.
00:28:34
Yeah.
00:28:34
It is so good.
00:28:35
It's so good.
00:28:36
It reminds me of, like, something I heard, and it's like, he he gives you enough light so you
00:28:41
can see a couple feet ahead
00:28:42
of you.
00:28:42
He's not illuminating your entire path.
00:28:44
Right.
00:28:44
You gotta rely on him for that light to take those next steps.
00:28:47
Yeah.
00:28:47
In fact, he says the proverb says your word is a light.
00:28:50
There's maybe a songs, but your word is a light.
00:28:52
To my path or light to my feet.
00:28:54
So, yeah, the lamp to my feet.
00:28:55
So it's one of those.
00:28:56
It's like, it's he's lighting just where your feet are going.
00:28:59
That illumination is mostly revealed when you're looking back.
00:29:03
You're like, oh, that I would, BICO.
00:29:05
That makes sense.
00:29:06
That's why he that.
00:29:06
Yeah.
00:29:07
Because what you're seeing through the windshield, he's always seeing through the
00:29:09
rearview mirror.
00:29:10
Right?
00:29:11
And so when you get to that, you know, through that thing or the other side of that thing, you
00:29:14
look back and go, oh, man.
00:29:16
That's sucked back there, but makes sense now.
00:29:18
I know what it did for me now.
00:29:19
Right?
00:29:20
And that's such a, you know, important way to look at things.
00:29:23
That is good.
00:29:23
Like whatever difficulties ahead, you don't know.
00:29:25
Right?
00:29:25
Because you can't see it.
00:29:27
He might be taking you through some hardships.
00:29:28
Maybe taking you through the thorns, the rocks, whatever it might be, you know, but You
00:29:32
you know, I've learned about this that that whole narrative is just that if you go back to
00:29:36
the Bible and you can count on one hand how many times God led them around something to
00:29:41
avoid up.
00:29:42
Most of the time, he made them go through the most difficult things you could imagine.
00:29:47
He said to Joshua, I'm I'm camping out in the book of Joshua right now.
00:29:50
Joshua, he was like, Hey, you gotta go into the into the land of Canon.
00:29:53
It's your land.
00:29:54
Yeah.
00:29:55
But you gotta fight them.
00:29:56
Yeah.
00:29:56
You're gonna, you know, there's gonna be some there's gonna be some loss there's gonna be
00:30:00
some pain.
00:30:00
You're gonna be tired.
00:30:01
You're gonna get scared.
00:30:02
You're gonna have to run back to the crime rock when you're by yourself, pour your heart out to
00:30:05
me, get courage, and run back to the battle.
00:30:08
But that's where we find god the most.
00:30:10
That's where we see him.
00:30:11
That's where we get to see him work.
00:30:13
Isn't look, god does for me what I can't do for myself, but I gotta do for myself.
00:30:16
What I can.
00:30:17
And so when I'm in the middle of that thing doing it and I'm working away and I'm doing my
00:30:21
part, that's where the supernatural starts to have but you don't see that with if it's cush,
00:30:26
if everything's cush, god, like, I don't even I got this.
00:30:28
Yeah.
00:30:28
Whatever.
00:30:29
So if somebody's going through something right now and it's like, I don't think I can get to
00:30:34
the other side of this.
00:30:35
That's the place where God wants you.
00:30:36
He goes, you can't, but I can't.
00:30:39
I've been there.
00:30:39
I've done that.
00:30:40
And you just gotta trust my lead on
00:30:43
That's powerful.
00:30:43
That's amazing.
00:30:44
Yeah.
00:30:44
And the narrative of, like, that's what I truly enjoy about putting myself into a layer of
00:30:49
discomfort.
00:30:50
You know, we're talking about coal plunges.
00:30:51
We're talking working out that, like, in that abiding process, I consider that I'm abiding
00:30:57
when I'm working out, when I'm put, like, put heavy strain against my muscles
00:31:01
Mhmm.
00:31:01
Because god, like, that that's intentional discomfort.
00:31:05
Right?
00:31:05
And the reality is I'm gonna be interrupted there's gonna be discomfort along the way.
00:31:09
And I gotta be so intentionally present with that because the father's in the midst of that,
00:31:13
too.
00:31:14
He's in the midst of
00:31:15
me working out straightening.
00:31:16
Yes.
00:31:16
Yes.
00:31:16
Trying to get trying to get my muscles a little bit bigger for his temple.
00:31:19
Yep.
00:31:20
But then I'm gonna get hit with resistance.
00:31:22
I'm also gonna get hit in the good.
00:31:23
Right?
00:31:24
Things are going really, really well.
00:31:25
I'm like, man, but he's also in that presence.
00:31:28
And that, like, I I he he wants to be present when it's good, but he also wants to be when
00:31:34
it's bad.
00:31:35
Right?
00:31:35
And you you have to live in that mindset because most people most people operate in a
00:31:40
scarcity mindset.
00:31:41
Mhmm.
00:31:41
Right.
00:31:41
And so when things are tough, it's like I deserve this.
00:31:44
You know, god's not gonna get me out of this.
00:31:46
I'm gonna I'm gonna be crushed by scarcity mindset.
00:31:49
When things are going well, it's like, I'm gonna lose this.
00:31:51
If I don't protect, if I don't hold tight on It's gonna go, you know, we're always operating
00:31:55
in a scarcity mindset.
00:31:56
And it's like, if if I if I really believe that I'm a son or daughter of the kingdom, that it's
00:32:02
not about me, but it's about the god in me.
00:32:03
And I'm optimizing and operating, not in my power, but his power.
00:32:07
There is literally nothing that you're going to face or go through.
00:32:09
It doesn't matter how much resistance is there.
00:32:11
You are going to see it through.
00:32:13
If not, you die.
00:32:14
If you die, you're gonna have it.
00:32:15
Great.
00:32:16
Yeah.
00:32:16
You know, like, that's a bad trade off.
00:32:18
Right?
00:32:19
But, good.
00:32:20
Yeah.
00:32:20
Yeah.
00:32:20
But, you know, but the point is is is that it's really about how you're it's your perspective
00:32:25
and everything that you're going through and walking through.
00:32:27
Yeah.
00:32:28
And how you choose to see it.
00:32:29
Yeah.
00:32:30
No.
00:32:30
It's it's a keyword as choice.
00:32:32
Yeah.
00:32:32
You can choose.
00:32:33
Right?
00:32:33
Like, it's, emotion, right, how you respond to things.
00:32:36
It is choice for Yeah.
00:32:37
And, like, I don't think in this country, we do a great job of, like, teaching kids that at a
00:32:41
young age.
00:32:42
Mhmm.
00:32:42
It's, like, re very reactionary and a lot of that's, by the way, our parents were too.
00:32:45
Yeah.
00:32:46
Yeah.
00:32:46
Being able to, like, take a second.
00:32:48
How do I wanna respond to this?
00:32:50
Right?
00:32:50
So true.
00:32:51
And, dude, with 2 young boys, they're almost 3 or twin.
00:32:54
Right?
00:32:55
There's a lot of that.
00:32:55
Like, I gotta catch my breath.
00:32:58
Alright.
00:32:58
Am I gonna how am I gonna respond to this situation right now?
00:33:00
And, you know, sometimes I I wanna get angry.
00:33:03
I wanna yell at them, but I have what's that gonna do to them.
00:33:06
Right?
00:33:06
Then they're gonna learn that pattern.
00:33:07
And now we're just fostering
00:33:09
You know,
00:33:09
I agree with that.
00:33:10
Honestly, that's why we have sleep as a pillar because, you know, in in I truly believe this,
00:33:15
and I know people say like, hey, there's, you know, I'm a night owl.
00:33:20
We know we talked about the circadian rhythm and how
00:33:20
but that that you can manipulate
00:33:20
that, right?
00:33:20
You can manipulate your circadian rhythm Sure.
00:33:28
And I I truly believe that if you start setting a bedtime and getting up in the morning,
00:33:32
preparing yourself for god's voice to be present in that moment and preparing your heart
00:33:37
that way, that your reaction to your circumstances of how you're gonna parent your
00:33:41
children or how you're gonna treat your wife.
00:33:42
White is directly associated
00:33:43
to, like,
00:33:47
to how you're gonna move through that day.
00:33:49
Right?
00:33:49
I'm I'm going in with the intention to dominate that day Yes.
00:33:53
In my marriage.
00:33:54
Yes.
00:33:54
In the way I parent my kids, in the way I run my business.
00:33:58
And so in the way I approach my health, like, all those things, but that's why we have that
00:34:02
as a pillar because we are preparing Yeah.
00:34:04
Right.
00:34:04
We're preparing to win.
00:34:06
That's what we prepare for.
00:34:08
Right?
00:34:08
And so, like, all these things, that's why it's so important.
00:34:12
To be like, hey, god moves, and he moves in the morning.
00:34:14
Yeah.
00:34:14
We're gonna have some days where we lack sleep, but I'll tell you the truth.
00:34:18
Like, we can't have majority a day wheat where we
00:34:20
last sleep.
00:34:21
Because god, this is what, Ed even said.
00:34:23
He's like, hey, are you guys?
00:34:25
I I he said this probably, like, maybe a year and a half ago, but he's like, Are you guys
00:34:30
praying for divine in, like, intervention in your sleep?
00:34:34
Like, make sure your sleep is optimized because he'll talk to you in your sleep.
00:34:38
You don't remember that that that retreat too.
00:34:40
That was a jaw dropper.
00:34:41
I'm like, holy smokes, man.
00:34:42
That is brilliant.
00:34:43
I wasn't doing that.
00:34:44
Yeah.
00:34:45
You know, when it comes to the sleep thing too, you you gotta know your bot.
00:34:48
Like, I've I've always been a a 4 hour, 5 hour guy.
00:34:50
I'm sort of, I was a teenage and I optimized pretty well on that.
00:34:54
The older I get, it's not that so much.
00:34:54
But I was, finding out that I needed to go to bed earlier because the best sleep I was
00:35:03
getting I'm getting now.
00:35:04
I do this now.
00:35:05
It's 8, 9 o'clock to, you know, 2 o'clock in the morning.
00:35:08
I mean, it's like my hardest strongest sleep.
00:35:10
I'm up at 3 o'clock most days, 3 or 4 o'clock in the morning.
00:35:12
Yeah.
00:35:13
And that's where I start my reading and, you know, doing all that stuff, but I've already
00:35:16
had a in a great amount of sleep.
00:35:18
And I'm, like you just said, yeah.
00:35:20
I'm going in knowing what my day looks like, because I know who I am now.
00:35:23
I know my what my my rhythm, my cadence looks like.
00:35:27
And so, that that that point is so vitally important.
00:35:28
You've got to be honest with yourself, Give yourself permission to evaluate these things.
00:35:34
I love your scorecard thing that you do.
00:35:36
That's it, dude.
00:35:38
But I do it at the end of every day.
00:35:39
It's like a moral inventory.
00:35:41
Did I steward my platform for the excellence today?
00:35:43
A husband, a father, a CEO, a leader, an influencer, whatever?
00:35:47
And if the answer is no, it's like, okay.
00:35:49
What am I gotta do differently tomorrow to to get a 1% shift
00:35:57
Man, that's it.
00:35:58
Some moral inventory.
00:35:59
Yeah.

00:36:09
Yeah.
00:36:10
I love that.
00:36:10
You've been working
00:36:11
on that.
00:36:11
The things don't good.
00:36:13
Yeah.
00:36:14
We need to get that on the sacred in the sacred board room.
00:36:16
That's one of the things that I want these guys to, you know, what I want them
00:36:16
to get access to with your
00:36:20
We basically took what you started and then put it into a 30 day, like, journal.
00:36:23
We, obviously, put the logo on it, but it looked real cool, but then it's something you
00:36:30
can either print or have digital copy of.
00:36:31
And we're just giving it out for free.
00:36:32
We're not trying to make on this.
00:36:34
It's just Sure.
00:36:34
You don't wanna value this.
00:36:35
This just help people.
00:36:36
No.
00:36:36
You don't help people.
00:36:37
It just helps.
00:36:37
It just gives proper reflection exactly what you're saying.
00:36:40
Like Yeah.
00:36:40
Unless you expose it and articulate out mouth and write it down, it doesn't exist.
00:36:44
Yeah.
00:36:44
That's true.
00:36:44
That's true.
00:36:45
100%.
00:36:46
Yeah.
00:36:46
That's great.
00:36:47
Those things do not exist.
00:36:48
But, hey, man, how do you so this is, this is a kinda shifting, but I would like to this is so
00:36:55
imperative for an entrepreneur.
00:36:57
So we're talking now to the on just strictly to the but you and Trish, you have
00:37:02
2 two young kids.
00:37:02
You got
00:37:02
2 older kids.
00:37:02
The lifestyle, you're traveling a little bit more now.
00:37:09
How are you balancing that?
00:37:11
So we we have husbands and wives, and I don't care if your CEO are are not.
00:37:16
It's I think it's important for husbands and wives.
00:37:19
We say this all the time that that unrealistic expectations are premeditated resentments Mhmm.
00:37:24
And become future
00:37:24
failures.
00:37:27
Right?
00:37:27
Setting people up for failure.
00:37:28
And so we we sit down and we have conversations to say, what what are our expectation or the
00:37:32
boundaries gonna be in our relationship?
00:37:32
So she's running a a gigantic cattle farm, a beef business.
00:37:41
So she's running in one lane.
00:37:43
I'm running the sacred CEO and all this, I'm traveling in different places now.
00:37:47
And by the way, I have clients from from Florida out to California, and it's so there's
00:37:51
different time zones and all that.
00:37:53
So we sat down and we were intentional about a conversation of what our boundaries were gonna
00:37:58
look like.
00:37:58
So one of the things that we said is we're to shut everything off at 5:30.
00:38:03
So there's no there's no working going on beyond that, Tom.
00:38:03
Like, our kids deserve us at that.
00:38:09
Like, we have to work.
00:38:10
So we'll get I now, by the way, I can start at 4 in the morning if I want to.
00:38:13
Yeah.
00:38:13
Never wanna sleep.
00:38:14
So, yeah, she she said it.
00:38:15
She's like, I don't care when you start.
00:38:16
Doesn't matter to me.
00:38:17
Get up 4 in the morning.
00:38:17
Get up 3.
00:38:18
I don't but at 5:30, we're turning it off.
00:38:21
And then weekends, we turn it off.
00:38:23
We if we go to church together or if we're doing church at home or we're going on a trip,
00:38:28
we're doing something.
00:38:29
We're doing those things together.
00:38:31
So what we did was is when when you declare, when you sit down with your spouse, you sit
00:38:35
down with your significant other and you have a conversation and you both agreed to that
00:38:41
expectation.
00:38:42
Well, the then you both you get to hold each other accountable to what you agreed to.
00:38:46
Mhmm.
00:38:47
And so we had that conversation.
00:38:49
We both agreed, which means our respect for each other is we're going to do this because I
00:38:54
told you that I would.
00:38:56
And, and
00:38:56
so the expectation and the consequence of the violation of
00:38:57
that is what holds us accountable.
00:39:01
And so that's our that's how we balance it.
00:39:03
It just it's let's lay out the conversation.
00:39:06
Let's lay out what we're gonna do, the game plan, and we're gonna follow it.
00:39:09
We're gonna stick to it.
00:39:11
Now there's times.
00:39:12
I'm gonna tell you.
00:39:12
Now I have some one offs of somebody, like, in California, you know, says, hey, I can't meet
00:39:17
today.
00:39:17
Can you meet at this time?
00:39:18
Hey, Trish, are you okay with this?
00:39:19
Yeah.
00:39:19
Okay.
00:39:20
You know, there's always gonna be one offs.
00:39:21
Like, we may host a live event at night, you know, after the kids go to bed, whatever.
00:39:24
That's how we do it.
00:39:25
So Yeah.
00:39:26
Balance isn't doesn't come by just saying, Hey, I'm gonna be a balanced CEO.
00:39:30
I'm gonna be a balanced entrepreneur.
00:39:31
It's how it works.
00:39:32
There has to be a plan, and you gotta you gotta be willing to stick to it and follow it.
00:39:36
So, yeah, That's awesome.
00:39:37
Yeah.
00:39:39
Yeah.
00:39:39
Yeah.
00:39:39
You guys sound like you are super busy.
00:39:41
And do you live?
00:39:42
Yeah.
00:39:42
We live on the farm.
00:39:43
Yeah.
00:39:43
That's cool.
00:39:44
One of the things that I'm doing too that's gonna start changing the game is, I mean, I
00:39:48
work out of my home office there, but I've, you know, outside of the other travel looks like
00:39:52
I'm gonna be going flying out to Phoenix once a month and being out in that area for a few days
00:39:56
every month.
00:39:56
And, I'm going to I'm starting some, really big networks in the Jacksonville area too, you
00:40:03
know, which is gonna bring me out of that.
00:40:04
So again, there's there's always going to be something to do.
00:40:08
Right?
00:40:08
And you just gotta be intentional But I I wanna say something else too.
00:40:11
I think this is important.
00:40:12
And and I and I know the theme of this podcast that shows not just for entrepreneurs and CEOs,
00:40:17
but it seems like kinda gone this way today.
00:40:19
But I I think it's important that we, we we touch on something.
00:40:19
CEOs and entrepreneurs that are building successful companies.
00:40:29
They're doing so because they're good at it.
00:40:31
Like, they're they were hardwired for this.
00:40:33
Like, there's this intrinsic thing inside of them that that, you know, just empowers them to
00:40:38
leadership.
00:40:39
Well, what do we have a tendency to do as human beings?
00:40:41
Put all of our focus and attention things that we're good at.
00:40:44
Mhmm.
00:40:44
I have I sit in front of these guys and they're like, doc, I don't get this.
00:40:47
I got a a company of, you know, 200 employees.
00:40:50
Mhmm.
00:40:50
And they're, I mean, we we got a machine moving.
00:40:53
But I can't lead my my wife and my kids.
00:40:56
Mhmm.
00:40:56
My family's fault.
00:40:57
Like, I don't understand.
00:40:58
Well, it may be because you're trying to treat your family like you treat your company.
00:41:03
It may be that you've not learned how to create a clear line between those things, and you're
00:41:07
putting all your time and energy and talent into building this.
00:41:10
And you're and and that is good.
00:41:12
You're losing what is good there to mask what is bad over here.
00:41:16
And so I think a big start for this, for anybody is to just look at what is really what
00:41:22
is causing you the most tension in your life.
00:41:24
Mhmm.
00:41:24
What's causing the most anxiety?
00:41:26
What's causing the most pain?
00:41:28
The pain point becomes the change point at some point.
00:41:31
I don't want it to be because it took me out.
00:41:33
I wanna be preemptive.
00:41:34
I wanna look at this and say, is so Trish and I ask this question off, and I'll say, Hey, are
00:41:39
you happy?
00:41:41
How happy are you on a scale of 1 to 10?
00:41:43
Are you happy with me?
00:41:45
On a scale of 1 to 10, are you happy with where and she'll and we we're honestly, like, you
00:41:49
know, I would be honest with you.
00:41:50
I'm struggling.
00:41:51
Like, I'm I'm struggling with community or I don't I feel like we're connected.
00:41:55
Right?
00:41:55
We're always running that through some sort of a litmus test because I don't wanna fall asleep
00:42:00
on the things that matter the most and wake up one day and go, hey, I wanna let you I filed
00:42:04
for divorce.
00:42:05
81% of the divorces in America right now are being filed by women, and and they have planned
00:42:09
it on average between 1 2 years.
00:42:12
So it's not like you woke up one day.
00:42:13
I was like, oh, I'm getting a divorce.
00:42:15
No.
00:42:15
It's been in the works.
00:42:16
Something has been off course for a long time, and it finally imploded.
00:42:20
Right.
00:42:20
And so we have to be willing to look at these things, be rigorously honest about what is
00:42:25
right or working, what isn't right or isn't working, and what isn't working, what are we
00:42:29
going to do to make changes?
00:42:31
But most people are afraid to do that.
00:42:34
Yeah.
00:42:34
They're afraid of the conflict and what it's gonna come out of it.
00:42:36
Mhmm.
00:42:37
But, you know, Doctor Peterson, Jordan Peterson says it all the time, conflict delays, conflict
00:42:40
magnified.
00:42:41
Mhmm.
00:42:42
Whether it's your health, your merit doesn't matter.
00:42:44
If you don't deal with it, it's going to get it's gonna deal with you.
00:42:47
Yeah.
00:42:48
Yeah.
00:42:48
I think of this routinely.
00:42:49
Like, if you had to evaluate, like, the end of your life, right, if so, where whenever that
00:42:54
might be, right?
00:42:55
So it could be tomorrow.
00:42:57
Could be 10 years from now.
00:42:58
It could be 15.
00:42:59
It could be when you're 90.
00:43:00
It could be when you're a 110.
00:43:01
Who knows?
00:43:02
Like, how long you're gonna live?
00:43:03
That's in god's hands.
00:43:04
But the reality is is like, what do I want that to look like?
00:43:08
And so then I have to evaluate.
00:43:10
Do do I want?
00:43:12
So in in reproduction is a big thing.
00:43:15
So, like, reproduction with my kids.
00:43:17
Okay.
00:43:18
I have kids now.
00:43:19
7, 6, and 4.
00:43:20
You, we all have young kids.
00:43:22
So then it becomes, alright.
00:43:24
Do I see myself?
00:43:27
And it you don't they don't have to be separated.
00:43:29
Like, you can have abundance in both.
00:43:32
But they're in and I think God, it will intentionally bless those.
00:43:35
But if I had to determine my level of success, and I had to get to the end of my life.
00:43:41
And I said, my kids are my age now.
00:43:44
Thirties, you know.
00:43:46
What what do I want that to look like?
00:43:48
Do I want their look, their life to where I didn't model a relationship with my wife so
00:43:55
well that they found a mate and they found their friends, because of how I modeled my
00:44:03
relationship with my wife, right, where they were able to have a life beyond expectations
00:44:10
abundant because of how I modeled and how I treated Kelly.
00:44:15
Right?
00:44:15
And so, like, they were then able to able to make a better choice.
00:44:19
We're talking about this earlier.
00:44:20
They were able to make a better choice because they set the standard that dad set.
00:44:24
Right.
00:44:25
You know, I set the standard of how I treated Kelly in our relationship and our household.
00:44:30
And I galvanized that so much and protected the peace.
00:44:31
That's something you always say.
00:44:31
Like, protected your peace at all cost.
00:44:39
At all cost.
00:44:40
And there was something there was actually a story that you told me at one time where you
00:44:44
actually had to make the decision and protect the PCR household so much that you had to tell
00:44:48
your daughter and she had to leave.
00:44:49
Right?
00:44:50
So you had to tell your daughter to leave.
00:44:53
A teenage daughter would be like, hey.
00:44:55
Like, you're dis you're disrupting the piece of my household.
00:44:59
Mhmm.
00:44:59
This is my household.
00:45:01
You're
00:45:01
gonna have to learn it the hard way.
00:45:02
You're gonna have
00:45:03
to leave.
00:45:03
Yeah.
00:45:03
Because I gotta protect my I got I got other people to look after, and I gotta protect that
00:45:08
piece.
00:45:08
Right?
00:45:08
Stuff.
00:45:09
Yeah.
00:45:09
And how massive, probably, that has been for your relationship on the other side?
00:45:13
She's a rock star today.
00:45:15
I'll tell you, she she hated my guts at the time, but 4 years later, she was she was
00:45:20
sixteen at the time.
00:45:21
If there's somebody
00:45:24
that I trust with my absolute life, it's doctor Alfred Olessee.
00:45:32
I'm telling you, I perform at the highest level because of Olessee functional health.
00:45:39
Not only does he have prominent chiropractic care, but he has new soft wave technology that
00:45:44
allows me to optimize my performance in my game.
00:45:47
And keep me going strong all day every day.
00:45:50
And if you're in the Tampa area, I highly advise you to click on the link below and book
00:45:56
your appointment today at alessifunctionalhealth.com.
00:46:02
She's in it was 20.
00:46:04
She we were doing a Father's Day celebration.
00:46:06
We went out back, Rhiannon, the patio was having a cigar, and she said, hey, daddy.
00:46:10
Can I tell you something?
00:46:11
She said, was the hardest thing that I ever walked through, with you 4 years ago, she said,
00:46:16
but you were a 100% right.
00:46:17
It was the best thing that ever happened to me.
00:46:19
And, you know, we we we have a statement that we use.
00:46:22
It's called living principle over personality.
00:46:25
But if you evaluate your life, 99 of the things that go wrong in your life is because you chose
00:46:30
the personality over the principle, whether someone else's or your own.
00:46:33
And by the personality, we mean the emotions and the codefane, all the things that come with
00:46:37
that.
00:46:38
But when you learn to live your life by principle and principle is dictating what you
00:46:42
do, it changes everything.
00:46:44
You know, Matt, you you just hit something that is so I don't think parents realize how
00:46:49
important it is.
00:46:50
I can tell you, I know I didn't, and it's something that I have learned even through my,
00:46:55
you know, future for through education studying and things that I do now, but there's a
00:46:59
psychological matrix or a continuum that's called the unfolding molding continuum.
00:47:04
From the ages of 0 6, a child is what is in the stages of what's called conscious assimilation.
00:47:10
They're observing their environments.
00:47:12
But at six or seven years old on, it's called conscious adaptation.
00:47:17
And that's when they begin to adapt to their environment.
00:47:19
Miss.
00:47:20
And so in this continuum of the unfolding and molding, the unfolding side of the continuum
00:47:24
psychologically is they have a temperament and a personality as they grow up, it's going to be
00:47:29
unfolding throughout their life.
00:47:30
On the molding side of that continuum, they have a sociological construct an environment
00:47:35
that's going to play into what that looks like.
00:47:38
And so they are who they are, who they've been created to be.
00:47:42
But I have to understand that the environments that I'm building and constructing and the
00:47:46
framework that I'm building as a dad or as someone's building as a mom is going to impact
00:47:52
significantly what the molding side, what that child is gonna look like when they become an
00:47:56
adult.
00:47:56
So think of it this if you'll notice in your parenting, some of the things you do today are
00:48:01
the things you hated the most about your own dad
00:48:03
or monitor.
00:48:03
And why is that because your conscience, began to adapt, you became those things.
00:48:11
Right?
00:48:11
Yeah.
00:48:11
And so
00:48:11
now this doesn't mean you're gonna always get it right a parent, but I can tell you what, I
00:48:15
take my parenting and how Trish and I behave.
00:48:18
And I our kids never see us fight.
00:48:21
They we never fight with each other.
00:48:22
Trish We're never disrespectful.
00:48:24
There's never insinuation.
00:48:26
There's never insults, character assassination.
00:48:28
We never do that.
00:48:29
But our kids.
00:48:31
We bring our kids in the middle of everything that is difficult because we we do we want them
00:48:36
to see you can you're gonna face hard time.
00:48:38
They're not protecting you from the craziness of the world and the hardship of the world, I'm
00:48:42
gonna show you how to get through it with health and wholeness, with emotional stability,
00:48:46
with mental, with logic, not, you know, emotions, high logic is low.
00:48:49
We're gonna show you how to get through these things.
00:48:52
And so we got our one of our very best friends in the world is is being diagnosed with lung
00:48:57
cancer, and I don't know what the future holds.
00:48:59
I know what I want god to do, but I don't want I don't want the this has been heavy on all of
00:49:03
us that love him, our family.
00:49:04
Matt, it's been heavy on all of us.
00:49:06
We, every night, bring our kids into the middle of that story, and we have our our kids get on
00:49:11
their knees and pray for uncle Ed every single night.
00:49:14
Death to cancer, life to his body, air of god, and his lungs.
00:49:17
And then I'll say, girls, do you, Isaac, November?
00:49:20
Do you believe that god can heal?
00:49:22
Yes.
00:49:22
What am I doing?
00:49:23
I'm creating a framework of you're gonna face difficult things in life, but you don't ever
00:49:26
have to face it alone.
00:49:27
Yeah.
00:49:28
So we have to understand our job as parents.
00:49:31
It's not just about us.
00:49:33
Our jobs as CEOs, as leaders, influencers, impactors.
00:49:36
It's not just about us or us looking good.
00:49:39
It's about the legacy that we are leaving and the legacy that we are building.
00:49:43
That's right, man.
00:49:43
We talk about that all the time with, like, the general health and or, generational health
00:49:48
generational wealth.
00:49:49
These are these, like, things we're trying
00:49:50
to leave behind.
00:49:51
And the generational curses.
00:49:52
That's right.
00:49:53
And you have to break that at some point because, like you said, man, like, the way you
00:49:57
are parented will just naturally be how you parent.
00:50:00
If unless you make a decision to not do it that way, it has to be conscious, has to be be
00:50:05
aware.
00:50:05
Yeah.
00:50:05
We're just some total of our past experiences, circumstances, and sociological constructs.
00:50:09
That's it.
00:50:09
That's why you have a god of your understanding.
00:50:11
You have a god of your understanding.
00:50:12
I have a god of my understanding.
00:50:14
And so we our impact matters because we're forming that future citizen, that future
00:50:20
husband, that future wife, part of what we're, you know, our calling is, which is why I say to
00:50:24
parents all the time.
00:50:25
And and specifically CEOs and entrepreneurs, stop cheating on your family with your work.
00:50:29
Committing adultery.
00:50:30
No.
00:50:30
No.
00:50:30
I don't have another woman.
00:50:31
No.
00:50:32
But you gotta work.
00:50:32
And that gets all your time, energy, talent, intimacy.
00:50:35
It's all there.
00:50:36
Yeah.
00:50:36
Right?
00:50:36
Your your family deserves more than that.
00:50:39
There's a component to that where it's healthy.
00:50:42
So, like, I'm taking the devil devil's advocate on the shift side because I think there's an
00:50:46
abundance of both areas, right, but what it comes out is a level of expectations.
00:50:50
So you said you had sat down with Trish, and there there are seasons.
00:50:54
There's seasonalities to that as far as expectations.
00:50:57
Hey, we're stepping in a busy season.
00:50:59
And there's gonna be some actually loss here where I'm gonna have to step away or I'm gonna
00:51:04
have to do some things, but expectations are so critical because I I go back to the thinking
00:51:09
grow rich philosophy where you you intentionally have to go into discomfort
00:51:13
sometimes.
00:51:14
Right?
00:51:14
And so in business, you have to intentionally go into that level of discomfort where I'm
00:51:19
gonna I'm gonna miss out with my family a little bit here, where I'm gonna be traveling.
00:51:20
I'm gonna be doing these things.
00:51:24
And it's gonna be there's gonna be a season where there's gonna be some intentionality, but
00:51:29
then how do you it's, prioritizing that schedule of how you're also bringing them in
00:51:35
along the way.
00:51:36
Right?
00:51:36
Because at the end of the day, this is something that I always think about.
00:51:40
I am chasing something, right?
00:51:42
I'm chasing a feeling.
00:51:44
Right?
00:51:44
I want more of something, a feeling.
00:51:46
What's that feeling?
00:51:47
Like, I have to really associate, like, what what feeling is this giving me?
00:51:52
And not all the time, am I like,
00:51:53
man, this is a healthy feeling, right, because get what when you
00:51:54
know you're walking into a in in really direct linear with the with the spirit all the time.
00:52:06
We're talking about that this morning.
00:52:07
Like, linear with the spirit is that There is, even in that discomfort, hey, I have to my my
00:52:14
my family is a sacrifice for a very brief period of time.
00:52:18
Right?
00:52:19
Because I'm doing these things, right?
00:52:21
The expectations have been set.
00:52:22
I'm stepping into that, but I know absolutely without a shadow God's called me into that
00:52:27
season.
00:52:28
Right?
00:52:28
Yep.
00:52:28
God's called me into that season, but I I also let that be known to my wife and my kids.
00:52:34
Is that there's a season, but I'm gonna bring you along as much as I can.
00:52:37
Like, I literally bring them along through the process.
00:52:40
I want you to come through journey.
00:52:41
I want you to step into that difficulty with me so that we can journey through this together.
00:52:47
Right?
00:52:47
And
00:52:48
so I'm gonna be honest with you.
00:52:50
Nutritious, starting up a company like that right off the ground, man there has there been
00:52:54
a lot of sacrifice, right, on on the backside of that.
00:52:57
But I always check-in with my wife.
00:52:59
You have that check-in, right, that check-in?
00:53:02
Hey, are we still are we still progressing?
00:53:03
You still alright?
00:53:04
You still happy?
00:53:05
Because if you're not, we can do detour this whole thing.
00:53:07
Yeah.
00:53:08
Yeah.
00:53:08
I don't know if get like, is god is god still calling us in this direction, right, and that
00:53:13
constant check-in of, like, is that am I still linear Right?
00:53:17
And how many times does Kelly?
00:53:18
You felt like you were gonna quit and Kelly spoke into it and said, oh, no, we're not,
00:53:21
baby.
00:53:21
I'm here with you.
00:53:22
And you know what I mean?
00:53:23
Like
00:53:23
That's huge.
00:53:24
All the time.
00:53:24
Like, I mean, literally all the time.
00:53:26
Like, see.
00:53:27
There's nothing better than that.
00:53:28
Yeah.
00:53:29
That communication is so important because you could be thinking in your head, oh, she's
00:53:32
probably upset that missing this because I'm working on this and you're playing this whole
00:53:37
reel in your head and she doesn't feel that way at all.
00:53:39
Right.
00:53:39
But unless you ask her and you check-in, like you
00:53:41
said, we're
00:53:41
projecting our thoughts into other pulling up.
00:53:43
That's exactly right.
00:53:44
That's it right there.
00:53:45
That's right.
00:53:46
Well, you know what the number one cost of divorce is?
00:53:48
I mean, if you look up the data, it's gonna say infidelity or finances, it's none of those
00:53:53
things.
00:53:53
It begins with the breakdown of communication.
00:53:55
Yeah.
00:53:56
We stopped communicating, or we didn't nobody ever taught us how to really We don't know how
00:54:00
to talk about the difficult things.
00:54:01
We just suppress, suppress, suppress, becomes resent, resent, resent, and then boom, all of a
00:54:05
sudden, what I about divorce is that, you know, if you read the papers, it says irreconcilable
00:54:10
differences.
00:54:11
Basically, we were just 2 prize fighters that beat the crap out of each other we gave up.
00:54:14
You know what I mean?
00:54:15
It's like,
00:54:16
but but when you're when you learn how to really have those healthy converse
00:54:20
conversations to go into healthy confrontation, it's a game changer
00:54:24
Yeah.
00:54:25
These guys have really good conversations though too on the farm, you know.
00:54:29
They they
00:54:33
Uh-oh.
00:54:33
Oh,
00:54:33
he's laughing hard.
00:54:34
This is it.
00:54:36
Elaine, let's go have a conversation in my.
00:54:41
Into what, your leader hosted, over, the St.
00:54:45
Barry's River Beadow Mosquitos.
00:54:47
Oh, bro.
00:54:49
Yes.
00:54:50
So some of the conversation is do we need to get out in the woods and get a little get a
00:54:54
little, frisky out in the woods?
00:54:57
So well, sometimes that animal nature just heard, you know, that primal thing started
00:55:00
rising up.
00:55:01
You're like,
00:55:01
this guy's first child.
00:55:03
It was a November or November.
00:55:04
It was November.
00:55:06
They, this guy was horny as a frick at horn dog.
00:55:10
Like, what what was that?
00:55:12
But but I had a bunch of people at the at the house.
00:55:14
It was during the hurricane Irma or something, and everybody can merge at the farm.
00:55:19
And I'm like, babe, I'm like, I wanna I wanna get down, but I would know, but we can't do
00:55:23
that.
00:55:23
And, like, forty people in this little house.
00:55:26
So she's like, well, what are you thinking?
00:55:28
I said, I'm thinking we should go out in the woods, man.
00:55:30
We got 2000 acres.
00:55:31
Let's just let's getting on out.
00:55:32
We got plenty of
00:55:33
space there.
00:55:33
So I did the truck.
00:55:34
We drive out there.
00:55:36
I'm in the back.
00:55:36
I'm one of those guys.
00:55:37
I can't scrog with my clothes on.
00:55:38
So I'm I'm just in boots going down scrubhered in mosquitoes.
00:55:44
So it's just I was pumping and swiping.
00:55:48
You told me this is how your daughter
00:55:49
is conceived.
00:55:49
Yes.
00:55:52
I mean, just covered.
00:55:53
I got machines too.
00:55:53
I'm covered in malaria, and she's being conceived.
00:55:53
Oh my gosh.
00:56:02
I mean, the thing to do on the farm.
00:56:04
Oh, yes.
00:56:05
Yeah.
00:56:06
Oh, man.
00:56:06
That's all they have.
00:56:07
I gotta see this farm.
00:56:08
I've got
00:56:08
a farm up here.
00:56:09
Let's see.
00:56:10
Scrolling the
00:56:11
farm looks way different than
00:56:12
it does in the city.
00:56:12
You gotta jam for stuff like that down here.
00:56:16
Like, if you don't do it, there's something wrong with
00:56:18
That's right.
00:56:18
Then I find out we get then I find out we get game cams everywhere.
00:56:22
So I drove back.
00:56:22
I'm, like, searching the whole area to make sure there was no game cams where I go.
00:56:26
Oh my god.
00:56:27
What?
00:56:28
You wanted to highlight real people to that?
00:56:29
I think you do.
00:56:30
Oh, no.
00:56:31
That was another time.
00:56:32
Oh, I can when Trish and I first got married, I convinced We have a 4.
00:56:36
We have four miles, this white sand beach on the Saint Mary River, and it's in the middle of
00:56:40
nothing.
00:56:41
Clearwater.
00:56:42
Yeah.
00:56:42
I have been down that to that river for 10, you know, whatever, 8 year, 5 year.
00:56:47
We get married.
00:56:48
I can mention, hey, let's go on the beach.
00:56:50
Let's just have a romantic time out there.
00:56:51
We'll eat a little, you know, food and do a little scrogging.
00:56:55
She's like, what if somebody comes by, goes, nobody ever, ever is on this river church?
00:56:59
I said, there's no passage.
00:57:00
Trees fall over.
00:57:03
So we're just in the middle of just, I've been throwing down like teenagers.
00:57:07
And all of a sudden, his
00:57:11
Hey.
00:57:12
How's it going?
00:57:12
How's it going?
00:57:12
How's it going?
00:57:13
How's it going?
00:57:17
I didn't know what to do.
00:57:18
You had knowledge too?
00:57:19
I mean, bro, I was in
00:57:20
just full shame.
00:57:24
Holden died behind a tree.
00:57:25
Like
00:57:26
Oh my god.
00:57:27
He knew.
00:57:28
He knew.
00:57:28
I could see the look on his
00:57:30
he had that look of sorry to interrupt you.
00:57:32
But damn boy, that's awesome.
00:57:34
Like, he had that that look at it.
00:57:36
And he
00:57:36
still had
00:57:36
not just Yeah.
00:57:37
Yeah.
00:57:37
Yeah.
00:57:37
He was like, he's like, How you doing, I go?
00:57:40
Good.
00:57:40
How you doing?
00:57:41
Better than you.
00:57:42
But, yeah, it ain't like he's in a boat with a motor.
00:57:45
Didn't only go so fast in the river.
00:57:47
He just it it felt like
00:57:49
an eternity.
00:57:49
Pedal faster, buddy.
00:57:50
Yeah.
00:57:51
So I
00:57:51
was kinda sitting there watching him as he goes.
00:57:53
It just kept waving a couple
00:57:55
Oh, okay.
00:57:56
Oh, I don't know what
00:57:57
to do
00:57:57
with this.
00:57:58
I don't know.
00:57:58
Two piece back on his way back.
00:58:00
Oh, yeah.
00:58:00
Oh, man.
00:58:01
That is funny, man.
00:58:03
Tricia's like,
00:58:04
I'm she goes, I'm going to kill you.
00:58:05
Like, she's gonna kill me if you're bringing that up.
00:58:08
That story.
00:58:09
Oh, she loves that dick.
00:58:10
She's like, you promised me.
00:58:13
That is so good.
00:58:14
Don't trust me anymore when it comes to that stuff.
00:58:16
So
00:58:17
I've ruined that.
00:58:19
No much talking about that.
00:58:20
Oh, no.
00:58:21
The trust packages.
00:58:23
Ended.
00:58:23
I don't know that I
00:58:24
could ever gain that back.
00:58:25
Just done.
00:58:26
Yeah.
00:58:27
Oh my god.
00:58:27
This man this man lives full fueled, bro.
00:58:29
I could Oh, geez.
00:58:30
It's so full in That's that's obviously the name of our show.
00:58:33
That's what we talked about, bro.
00:58:34
It's like the 6 pillars.
00:58:35
If you dialed in, you are fully fueled.
00:58:37
Right?
00:58:37
I love that.
00:58:38
Man, answer this question for me just because we always ask what does that mean to you to
00:58:42
live your life full fueled and to, you know, you I I know that's something you're gonna pass
00:58:47
on to your kids, but, yeah,
00:58:48
I honestly, it's being in alignment, spiritually, mentally, physically and
00:58:54
emotionally.
00:58:55
Everything has to be in alignment.
00:58:57
And I have learned I'll be 50 this year.
00:58:59
I have learned that if something's off emotionally, it's going to throw the cadence
00:59:03
off of everything else.
00:59:04
So you imagine a band playing.
00:59:05
You got everybody that's got their music and sheet notes, and they're playing their own
00:59:09
rhythm and harmony, but somebody didn't practice.
00:59:12
And they're, you know, they're hitting their flight.
00:59:14
You know, it throws everybody in the room off.
00:59:18
And so the full fuel meaning to me is is that By the way, this is important, I think, to that
00:59:24
con to this context is that I make decisions sometimes that appear to be self And and people
00:59:30
say, well, that's kind of selfish.
00:59:31
And I'll say, no, no, it's not selfish.
00:59:33
It's self full.
00:59:35
I'm fully aware of what it takes for to be in alignment and you're an interruption to that.
00:59:40
Wow.
00:59:41
Or that's an interruption to that.
00:59:42
And so full fuel is, I'm fully aware.
00:59:45
And I'm going to do whatever I've gotta do to stay in and all things.
00:59:48
That's amazing.
00:59:49
That was a great answer.
00:59:50
Dude, that might have been one of the best answers.
00:59:52
Gosh.
00:59:53
I love it.
00:59:54
Love you, brother.
00:59:54
Love you, man.
00:59:55
Love the show.
00:59:56
Coming on the show today.
00:59:57
Yeah.
00:59:57
Love it.
00:59:57
Thanks for coming.
00:59:58
I'm a
00:59:58
I watch it, see it every every day.
01:00:00
And great
01:00:01
to be here.
01:00:02
Love it.
01:00:03
Live fulfilled.
01:00:04
Live beyond limits, baby.
01:00:05
Let's go.
